by jessica
(uk)

my friend jess who now has her own horse sassy have been friends for ages now shes got a big craze for horses and so have I. I might start horse riding in the next few weeks so i am really excited!! now that my friend has got her own horse she says that I can go up and visit her and maybe ride her. Now that my dad says maybe in a couple of weeks i might start riding at moor farms where jessica started riding.
I used to cry all night wishing that i could go horse riding and that me and jess could talk about horses togeather. I have joined nearly every horse site on the internet. Jess is going to pony camp in a couple of weeks so that will be cool hearing what she has been doing at pony camp. I wish her good luck in her next show this week!!

I am horse crazy because I have been riding since I was six, and I have always loved it. When it comes to horses, I have done it all. I have barrel raced, galloped hundreds of times, jumped a couple feet high, and much more. I own a horse and he is beautiful and to me, he is the greatest horse in the world. This is why I am horse crazy.

horses rock the world

by Jessica
(Strasburg, ND, United States)

i just love horses. i think they are the best animals in the world. they are smart, loving, and caring animals, that should always be taken care of. i never really started to love horse until my mom met her boyfriend Dan,a cowboy. so we would go and visit him on his farm. he had 4 horses so i got to see them whenever we went to his farm on the weekends. his horses names are (bee,10)(copper,7)(leroy,4) and(princess, bee's foal,1),and later copper and leroy mated and had a foal that we later named lonestar. bee was always the leader of them all. and my favorite was copper. she was very good with children. but i didn't get to ride her very often. one weekend while were out on the farm dan decide we were gonna go on a trail ride to town which was 15 miles from the farm. i rode copper all the way to town. and it was my very first time actually riding horse. i did good the whole way to town. some other people we knew also rode to town with us. that was a very hot but also very memorable day in my life. i was very proud of myself for getting to town. since then we've moved to north dakota from south dakota. when we moved we didn't take princess with us. we just recently sold bee and lonestar. we've still got copper and leroy. i haven't gotten to ride copper very much since we moved. she's not as nice any more but after we get done with our next move we're gotten get me into some riding lessons so maybe she'll straighten out. i would absolutely love! to start barrel racing. i think it's the coolest thing ever. i think and dream about it. so i hope i can start soon!!!
now we're gonna be moving to colorado. i hope it all works out. were hoping to find a stable where we can board our horses. and get western riding lessons.this is my story thank you very much for reading it!

This is Me and Dawn traing for my farms Show.We throw a show every year and we have a lt of cool shows like rodeos and stuff. I did a couple of editing to this picyure though

Hey horse crazy people! I live in Vermont Northfield and this is how I became horsecrazy!
I grew up on a tiny but cute farm with some pigs and chickens and typical farm animals, but I didn't have horses yet when I was young. But when I first laid eyes on the book Black Stallion,I wanted my very own horse. When I was about nine, My parents bought me my very first 10 month old paint filly.I named her Dawn. And when I first scratched her behind her ear, I knew we would be best friends for life! When she turned 2 and I turned 11, me and my dad helped train her. We tought her how to jump,be calm around noices, and behave around little kids. Than my dad told me it was time to strap her first saddle on her. I got all wide eyed and I began nodding my head real fast. My dad told me that it might take some time for her to get used to have a heavy saddle on her back. I didn't care,I knew I'll be riding her in no time. She turned three and I turned 12,she already knew what it's like for me to be on her back. But,when I first sat on that saddle,I felt a shock of connection. I trusted her and she trusted me. My first jump didn't go to well though because when I saw that first log jump on the trail, she jumped it and I fell off.I was lucky I didnt have a concusion! But it hurt bad enough so I couldm't move. I said to Dawn, "Go get help."At first I thought she wouldn't understand me! But she DID! SHe ran down the path leaving me behind. In another half hour or so, Dawn had dad on her back. And I returned home safly. And the good part is,I didn't brake any bones. And I never had a hero before, but,I finnaly found one and it's a horse! She will always be my hero, always!
written on Aug 8 2008.
Where is Dawn now? She's living happily on my farm and she's 4 and I'm 13,and we all lived happily ever after.

My Very First Horse Show

by A HorseCrazy Rider
(Brooklyn Park, MN, USA)

I was around horses when I was little, my family owned a pinto and a paint we had to put them down to sleep when I was 8 years old.

Also when I was 8, I went on a trail ride in Montana even though i live in Minnesota. I was put on a horse named Fudge. He was very gentle and smooth. And since that trail ride i have been riding at Bunker Stables.

Bunker Stables does everthing from hay rides to private lessons. It also does year round shows.

I've learned alot at bunker like jump mini jumps and saddle up and canter!

I've learned so much about horses there that I was able to compete in their spring show in the arena!

Thanks for reading!

My Very Horsey Life!

Tinka!

Tinka!

I loved horses ever since I was 4 years old! I am now 11 years old and still love horses! I have my very own horse named Tinka and she's a 4 year old appaloosa mare with somehow, Thoroughbred blood in her. Here's her info:
TINKA

Age: 4
Height: 16hh
Breed: Appaloosa x Thoroughbred
Colour: Brown with lots of white spots on her but and hips
Fave Colour: Red
Fave Event: Horse Racing
Likes: Food, sticks, barrels, poles, me!
Dislikes: Noisy people, strangers, dogs, rats, my brother!

She helped me when I was hurt, she gave me courage when I was afraid. She would do almost everything to keep me as happy as I can be!

I take very good care of her, never send to to the glue factory or slaughter house, groom her, clean her hooves, ride her, train her, everything!!

And that's what you are supposed to do with your horse too. Take care of her or him, and spend the whole day with your horse, just like that's the last time your seeing her/him. You know, it might be the last time, so watch out!

In year 6 I made horse models. Now, at long last, in year 7 I am... getting.. my own pony!!!!!

My Horsey World!

my favorite horse game is called Howrse

my favorite horse game is called Howrse

I love horses!

I love riding and being around them. people think they are not smart , but they are wrong. Horses are very smart and they know how we feel. If you are sad, then some horses will try to comfort you.

I also love them from volunteering at a therapeutic horse riding program called O.A.T.S. When the riders are on them, they are gentle and cooperate, but when the volunteers are on them, they don't listen.

They know that the riders are learning and if they always move around on the horse, the horse knows to stay calm because the rider doesn't know what to do yet.

That is why I love horses!

Horsecrazy Web Page

Horsecrazy Web Page

I am going on 44 years of age now and I cannot remember not ever being completely horsecrazy. I think it was born into me, as most true horse people are. I am a dedicated and sucessful online horse gamer. I am known as Speedhorse of RapidFire Racing Stables, Ranch, Barn and Equestrian Centers on popular interactive horse games. I love to draw horses, in fact it'a about the only thing I can draw. I was even married to my late husband in a horseback wedding. Will be posting some photos on my page soon.

I no longer have any "real-live" horses, but I am just as dedicated to my virtual equines today. I spend about 70% of my time involved in some manner of horse related activities. I also do photo manipulations for my online barn pages. And with all that, here I am writing all about it on a wonderful horsecrazy site. I think I qualify for the label of totally HORSECRAZY!

Why I'm Horse Crazy

I became horse crazy around the age of five. However I didn't actually ride a horse until I was seven. I was a little scared when I first got on. Being so high off the ground caught me off guard.

I went on a trail ride only, I was holding on to the saddle horn and the guy in front of me was leading my horse by a lead rope. My dad was there too, only he got to use reins on his horse. It was a lot of fun.

Since then I've gotten more and more horse crazy.

Me and My Princess

by Carrie
(TX)

Why am I so crazy about horses?

I am not really sure.

For as long as I can remember, I had dreamed of owning a horse and riding off into the sunset.
So you can just guess how excited I was when my dad called me over and told me that he had a horse for me.

I guess why I love horses so much is that they are all so beautiful and strong. The way my "Princess" takes care of me. Actually her name is Tess but she is my "Princess".

She's a beautiful thoroughbred and it's as if she doesn't have a spot on her. She's perfect!
I have only had her for a year but I am CRAZY about horses!

Once I was looking in our barn for something and something spooked her when I was right behind her and she started to kick but, almost as if she saw me there, she stopped. It had scared me half to death but then I realized that she had seen me. She cared about me!

I love that horse!!!

My First Ride with Lily Belle

Well i am horse crazy because i love how horses are always there for you. I mean i also love big dogs mosly golden retrievers because they are also loyal, but horses are different, you can connect with them more.

For me, it is comforting whenever i am with a horse. I try to connect as much as possible. I am actually trying to save for english riding lessons hopefully to lease a horse with my bestfriend natalie some time soon.

Well anyway..

Now back to my title i met lily belle when i went to Splendor Farms horse camp. It is so much fun! I really liked her because, well, she was just awesome! I also tried to soothe her and connect with her because 1 of the other horses gracie bit her neck.

I acted like she was mine and made sure that no one teased her or accidentally bumped the sore, and made sure i did everything i could to help it heal the week i was there. I'm going back during thanksgiving and I hope to get her again so we can get better and our relationship can grow!

Horses aren't my whole life... they make my life whole

by Kyura
(Federal Way)

Hey I'm Kyura and I NEED TO SPEAK WITH OTHER HORSE MAD GIRLS!!!!!

My whole life has been about horses. When I was 5 was the first time I'd ever ridden(I was lead by a old friend).

When I was 8 I wanted to find something I could do research, keep forever, and that was not a phase. So I found that ever since I was little I've LOVED horses! So I asked for riding lessons, dad said if I could find a place. I did a bunch of research with my step mom to find somewhere, after 3 weeks I gave up(stupid right).

Now that I'm 11, when me and my Dad were having a conversation he asked " If you could have anything and money wasn't a problem, what would you want?" You probably know what I said. Without hesitation I replied "A horse". So that started our trek through ONLINE REVIEWS ABOUT STABLES!!

When we found the place Shaneise my step mom wanted to see the somewhere. On that drive I could barely hold in my excitement,I WAS GOING TO A STABLE AND SAY HI TO THE HORSES!!!! I didn't know why Shaneise kept repeating " Kyura remember we will not be riding." riding wasn't half of it I WANTED TO SEE THE HORSES!!!

Ever since that day I've been riding on a chestnut mare pony named Penny. ( I'll up lode pic of her later if I can.) Daddy said that if I show him I'm responsible and get good grades, when we move he'll think of me and buy land!!! Right now I'm happy and horse crazy as can be. *;)

My Horse

by Bailey
(Dahlonega, GA, USA)

Hi! My name is Bailey, and I'm here to tell you a little bit about my horse. Her name is Rompey & she's a Hackney Pony mare (10 yrs. old). She is currently being trained by my Uncle Bradley, but we don't think she's... calm enough to ever be trained. She is VERY skittish and the only people that can get ahold of her are me, my dad, my Uncle Bradley, and my Uncle Bo. I got her on my 1st birthday from my Uncle Bo and Aunt Di.

My dad has told me that this summer he will get me a new horse. If you have any requests on what type of breed I should get or what are some suggestions etc., please post some comments on this page. I will check it regularly so so please feel free! Please no bad comments or questions. Thanks so much!

Horse Crazy 101

by Alyse
(Illinois)

You know you are horse crazy if...

1. You would rather clean a stall than your bedroom.

2. You know every horse at the barn and not ONE person.

3. You would rather play with horses than chase boys.

4. Your room is covered with horse posters and you don't know a single band.

5. Your favorite color is bay.

6. When your mom asks "where will you be today?" your answer is as usual, in the barn.

7. You have NO idea what Facebook is, but you love Horse Crazy Girls.

8. You've read every horse book there is.

Now I can say that I am definitely horse crazy.

Have any more funny "Horse Crazy" things? Post them, I would love to read them!

Horses, Ponies, and Minis, Oh My!

by Adrienne
(Texas)

My name is Adrienne, I'm 14, and I am a horse crazy girl. NOT AFRAID TO SAY SO, EITHER! <3

Would you believe I was horse crazy because I nearly plummeted from the back of a wild trotting horse? Yes.. yes.. trotting, but overweight horses are very bouncy, especially when their saddle is not on taut, and their rider is a small girl who has never set foot in a stirrup until that day. *Growls at terrible instructors*

Ever since I went to that horsemanship camp, I have been so obsessed with horses! I enroll in everything the finances allow that has to do with anything horsie.

I was really sad when the stable 5 minutes from our house shut down. Immediately, I found another AMAZING stable to ride at, 20 minutes away. My new instructor is very generous and cares for her students and horses. The first stable I went to, I felt left out and confused because that stable had its own clique. At this new stable, everyone can talk and laugh and share because we hold the same passion for horses. Yay horses!

I work every Saturday at that stable now after being set back a few months from my back being fractured.. D:

I am still waiting for the doctor to tell me when I can start riding again. He's afraid of horses! He said they're big animals with little brains. >: Arr, Mr. doctor! :P

My instructor lets me work at horse shows with her, and at the barn. She lets us work off free riding time, where we get to ride however we want (To our level and the horse's level). It is really amazing!

I hope you enjoyed my little journey of horses.. the story is still in the write! :

My dream horse is a black gelding with a white snip and 1 white sock named Raven.

I watch horse SPORTS on TV and collect model horses.

#1 horse crazy girl is me!

Hi! I don't really own a horse. I love horses a lot. My name is Rowan. I take horse back riding lessons though. I love this horse named CJ. He and I can, like, communicate. He shakes his head up and down when I ask a ? like "Do I love you CJ?" and stuff like that. And he shakes his head side to side when I ask a ? like "Are you ugly?" I can ride western. I can walk, trot, and I am ready for cantering. In english, I can walk, and I will be able to trot by myself soon. I want one so badly, I can't even explain it. I hope you loved my page!

Oliver<3

I love horses sooo much ! I have been riding ever since I was six and now I finally have my own horse (Oliver<3)

I have had Oliver a year and a half. I ride western and I show in western pleasure classes. I'm going to start riding English because my trainer says that it will get me more
points at shows. Yay!:)

I'm the type of girl who will ride, feed
muck, clean, water etc. all day and still not want to leave the barn in the evening.

I love my horse Oliver with all my heart. I have been using Parelli Natural Horsemanship and
It had completely change my perspective on training Oliver to trust and respect me more.

I don't like leaving Oliver while I go on vacation because it seem like all my hard hard work slips away......(unless I pay someone to ride him)

P.S My whole life revolves around horses and I love it<3

I really love riding horses, I might sign up for lessons. And I want to own a ranch.

Horses are soo awesome!

I am getting the movie Flicka 2 from the library.

My Wild Horse Ride Story

by Meredith
(Gloucester Mass. U.S.A)

One day I decided to to take my pony Little Chief out for a trail ride for the first time ever! For the first 20 minute or so he was doing great. I was ready to start cantering, but suddenly he shot forward and took off at a full gallop!

I was sooooooo scared but at the same time it was fun! we were galloping for at least 15 minutes he was jumping over fallen trees and rocks it was out of control.

I lost both my stirrups and eventually fell off but right when I hit the ground I shot back up again to try to catch Chief because he was still running full speed.

He stopped at a shady spot to eat some grass. When I got him I realized the girth was way too tight - that's why he was running. He's the kind of pony when there's something wrong he is sure to to let you know!

After I loosened up the girth to the right size i got right back on. When I did he behaved like an angel.

My horses Ben and Candy

by Ellie
(Worcester, England)

Hello, I am 13 years old and I have to amazing horses called Ben and Candie!! Let me tell you a bit about them!!!!

Ben is a beautiful bay gelding. He is a pure Thoroughbred and is an ex-racehorse. He is 16.hh and loves to gallop (still!!). Unfortunately, he comes from a bad background, his owners used to beat him when he didn't win races. We bought ben for £50 and we definitely think he is worth more!! We have been to lots of show jumping competitions and we always get placed at least 3rd and we have in total 30 rosettes!!!!

Candie is my angel. She is a 15.2hh very bright bay mare and is a little angel! She loves to make you happy and will do absolutely anything for you. We do lots of show jumping and jump cross (jump cross is just little cross country except with knockable jumps!).We have won lots of rosettes and I have two trophies. I love Candie and I am just about to go affiliated with her.

The best thing about my horses is that they trust me with their lives. When they lie down, I can lie down next to them.

I hope that you don't think I am bragging or anything, I you think I am I am really sorry! I love my horses soooo much I just can't help it!!

(Woking)

I'm horse crazy!!!!! I ride every other Saturday and try to help out at Cliffhatch Stables as much as possible. I've read all of Kelly Mckains pony camp diaries books apart from the last one, Millie and Magic, which i've preordered. I've been on 3 pony day camps one 1 day camp and two 2 day camps. The two day camps are not sleep the night ones though.

I beg my mum to let me get a pony or at least loan one however she says we don't have the room to keep it and it's to expensive even to just loan one. So i guess i'll have to wait until i'm older but I promise i'm going to get one i'm not going to bail out. I love ponies so much, I have my own grooming kit, helmet, jumper, t-shirt with one of my fave ponies on, gloves, treats and whip. I did have some jodphurs and some riding boots but i've grown out of them.

Some of my friends own about 3 ponies or more and i always think there so lucky but I know there expensive and I know I'll get one my own eventually!

My Horse Story

by Olivia
(USA)

My story isn't really like other people's. But here it is:

I was born on a farm where my parents owned Miniature Horses. When I was 4, I got my own Pinto Miniature named Lester. He was about 9 hands high or so (I was only 4, I don't remember!). He was my dream and I couldn't ride him though :(. I was 43 inches tall and too big.

When I was 7, my parents got divorced and my Mom stayed on our Miniature Farm to raise the Minis more, which included Lester. I moved into a smaller house deeper into the country. The nearest town was miles away. My father bought a horse, and it was a big Clydesdale gelding named Shine. He was too high strung for anybody too ride and anyway he was being used as a work horse.

Later on, I was searching for horses for sale and then found a beautiful Miniature Pony at a cheap price. I showed my dad, and he agreed but slightly hesitated. Later on, that little light brown Mini came home, and he wasn't nearly as high strung as Shine. He was a stallion, but didn't show much of it. He was a very quiet and good-natured horse. He ended up being named Acorn; his name before was unacceptable. After owning these two horses for five years of taking riding lessons, my dad faintly agreed to buy the horse I rode at lessons, a Snowflake Appaloosa named Maple. Maple didn't make it too far; he was put down 5 months later due to brain tumor. Soon, Shine fell sick and emerged into Heaven as well.

My dad needed another horse too pull the plow; we couldn't have our Nature do it! So my dad ended up the next day with a calm, gentle-natured Clydesdale mare named Marie. She was stronger than Shine and was very healthy as well--Dad's dream plow horse. But I wasn't so happy; Dad didn't pay for any more riding lessons, although I did have Marie and Nature.

On my 12th birthday, my father bought a Blanket Appaloosa gelding named King; he died just a few weeks later. I grew depressed, before I found Juliet. I found Juliet at an Auction house; she looked hungry, lonely and depressed. She was a dark bay Thoroughbred ex-race horse. My father bought the filly and nursed her back to health; she was still skinny, but not super-skinny. So, anyway, Juliet is a dark bay Thoroughbred ex-racehorse, as you know. She is 16.3 hands high and when I do Jumping with her, it's like a dream. Juliet is my dream and she means the world to me!

My Horse Story

I first really discovered horses last June. Lauren, my 12 year old sister, had just gotten a book called 'Girls and their Horses'. Before then, I must admit this, I didn't know that young girls my age ( I'm ten)had horses of their very own!I was like WHOA!

I now am totally horse crazy. I love everything that has to do with horses! Even their manure!! Our family has a mare named Cher. She is old and crippled. We can't ride her; she stumbles a lot.

I want a horse though! I Love Horses!

by Tasha

Hi! I looove horses and I'm going to my Uncle's this weekend and he has a new horse. Yey:):):):) I'm going horse riding on Saturday and Sunday lolxx it's going to be great! lolxx

I loove riding I started 3 years ago now, its great. The first time I went I wouldn't get on the horse because I thought it was too high lol xx I look back at that and feel really embarrassed.

Anyway then I got off of being led but in a weird way they just left me there and I was like what? When is someone going to come and lead me? Turns out that's not what the horse was thinking she was thinking oh look at that nice bush!!!! :) Because she went off to eat it and I couldn't stop her. :)

The thing is with some horses when you want them to go they don't, and when u want them to stay still they go, it sometimes gets on my nerves!!!

I absolutely loooove hacking it is soooo fun! I love going out into the countryside its really fun and when you groom horses that's fun as well, but sometimes they might bite which happened to me. Well she tried to! lol xx

Horses & Me

by Savannah
(Australia)

Hey all HorseLovers!

First of all, I love horses! Why, because... hmmmmmm... I'm not really sure why, maybe it's because of how beautiful and majestic and noble they are? Or maybe because when your gorgeous little horse comes right up to you and wants a cuddle and snuggles right into you, and nose-butts you and then affectionately nuzzles you, well isn't it just the best feeling in the world!?

Or maybe because when you've given him/her stay with you! Or perhaps when they've been struggling to master a skill for weeks and you're patient with them and then finally - they get it right!!! Why, I know when my little girl does any of those things, I just feel like going up to her and planting a humongous kiss right on her forehead! Anyway I've got to go now, do some homework now - BORING. But its been fun telling you about me. Goodbye.

HorseCrazy Me

I've been in a saddle since I was 1. My grandpa taught me that cowgirls don't cry. I love riding cuz I feel free! I also love running, mostly galloping... it's so fun! And even when I give horses riding lessons seeing the kids face makes me feel good.

The horse I first rode was Flash, she was my number one. 2nd one was my horse Silk. I'm always busy with my horses. With team roping, barrel racing!

If being with your horses is your dream too, remember, cowgirls don't cry. When you fall off get right back on!

My Favourite Horse

by A horsecrazy rider
(St. Williams, Ontario, Canada)

Me riding Milo

Me riding Milo

Hey my name is Macy and this is my horsecrazy story. I ride horses at a place called Carousel Stables, right down the road from me, lucky right? Anyways I go there 4 times a week.(Monday, Wednesday, Friday and Saturday) I don't yet have my own horse cause my parents think it's too much money but, I want to lease a horse for a month. I think it would be a great experience and maybe will change their minds.
So I am pretty lucky right now because I have found a horse that is just down the road from me, I really enjoy riding, and is up for a lease! His name is Milo. His owner Danille is going off to collage so she would like someone to take great care of him. I think this would be perfect, my mom also agrees but my dad still on the verge of saying no. I keep telling him thats it only $150 and i will take good care of him but he thinks that everything is already going fine without me leasing a horse. I hope he will soon change his mind. Thanks for reading and i hope you enjoyed!

P.S. In my next story hopefully I can tell you about me leasing Milo, and how my dad would have regretted saying no.

Horses are Cool!

by Sammy
(Burton)

I am horse crazy since my very first ride! I was only 4 years old and I went with the school for a trip on a farm. And we got to ride around the school. I was really scared and we only walked around once. But afterward I was buzzing with excitement! It was the only thing I would talk about for days! So its my parents fault for letting go and they pay £17.00 a week now!

Another reason why I am horse crazy is because when I go riding I feel so special after I come out of the stable. I just talk and talk and talk about it! Like today when I went riding we had trot over poles without holding the reins at all! But I did it with one hand. And I was terrified but after, I was sad I didn't give it a go!

Thanks for reading!

I know the picture is weird but so what?!

My Horse Life

by Sarah
(New Zealand)

Horses mean the world to me. I have had many horses including a green leggy cherry bay named shadow. He was my first pony. He was 11.2hands when I was little he would jump anything but when I got bigger he'd only jump little things cuz I got to big.

my second horse was Japha (bay) she lasted 6 weeks but she got too strong and fast so she got sold but I know her owner very well. But she's getting sold again cuz shes to hyper. The third horse I rode cuz he wouldn't last was Tyson, a grey long cuz he was 18. He lasted a few months while I looked.

don't ask me what horses I rode for a couple of months cuz I don't know but after that I fell in love with a snow flake appaloosa named jaspher even know he was 25 he meant the world to me. I spent all my free time with him but sadly we had to put him down due to cancer. It felt like the end of the world (but i'm still here thank god) now I have zephya a cute light bay (year I like the bays). Zeph is so cute and he has the biggest jump. He's the new jaspher. I also had a horse called twinkle a black wild pony after Jaspher.

Please read my story with horses and enjoy!

I am horse crazy because well I love to talk and talk and talk and talk about nothing but horses. I also love every living horse known to man. Whether it be an appaloosa or an Arabian I love them all and I will never stop loving them.

Also my book shelf is covered from head to toe with horse books weather it be a novel or a training manual I have quite a few. I also have over 20 horse models of you count the itybitty ones.

My room is practically filled with horse things weather it be horse posters horse pics horse calenders horse comforter set and books and models so I pretty much have covered my room form wall to wall with horse things.

One of my all time favorite movies is and will forever be spirit stallion of the caimarron although I unfortunately don't own my own horse yet but eventually I will and I already kinda know what kind of horse that I want.

I want and appaloosa gelding and I want to name him storm cloud. It would be great. But if I were to ever own my own horse it has got to be rescue horse I truly thing that it is better to adopt than to buy and I can't own my own because I don't have the money then I can maybe do foster care for the horse.

So this is why I am really horse crazy. :)

My fave ever horse!

by Immy
(Derbyshire)

First I want to say thank you to Lady the horse of my dreams.

I started riding when I was five or six, and loved it strait away, although I have fallen off, with horses rearing, spooking when you are not ready for it, nothing put me off.

When I moved schools, I learned to jump and canter properly, rising canter, canter to trot to canter again, and I learned how to control a horse when misbehaving (you see at my old riding school they didn't do this!)

I then started riding a pony called Lady, a fast intelligent pony, and a good jumper!
Lady spooks in wind sometimes and at plastic bags.

But Lady has always been there for me,and never before have I ever trusted a pony as much as I trust Lady!

Thank you Lady!

Hi! I am Alex!

I am horsecrazy because horses are gentle, sweet, kind and caring. I love horses because they seem to understand everything you say. I hate hearing when a horse is abused it makes me think of all the animals out there who do not have a home and don't know what it is like to be loved. I think many people love horses for how kind and gentle they are. If you ride a horse once you fall deeply in love with horses.

I would like to thank everyone who was found a loving home for a pet of any kind. Horses are kind and gentle and do everything we could ask for!

I LOVE HORSES!!!

by Megan
(Highland Village, TX)

I really love horses because they are the most beautiful animals in the world and they are just so majestic! I mean, if you have a horse of your own, (which I don't)you can have a special bond together. They are just so different from all other animals, except maybe donkeys....haha. It's sort of an inside joke I have with friends. Okay, I'll tell you the story...... So my friend (I don't want to name names) was going to her, horse, Beauty's stall, when she noticed that her donkey, Trouble, was in the stall instead of Beauty!! The funny thing is that she ALMOST saddled up Trouble!! Anyway, about the reason I'm horse crazy is also because I'm moving soon and we are going to have a wayyyyy bigger backyard, so I might just be able to get a horse!! Well I have to go now, so I hope you enjoyed my story!

I ♥ Horses!

by Rebecca
(Brittish Columbia)

Horses are my favorite animal, they are graceful, intelligent, and beautiful creatures. They have helped the human race a lot- from pulling Roman chariots to carrying royalty, from dragging sleighs and milk carts to bringing knights into battle. But most of all, they give us excellent companionship.

I wish I had one, but I don't . . . since I live in the city (yes *sigh*. I AM a city slicker). One day though, I am going to own one. My favorite breeds are Paint Horses, Morgans, and Thoroughbreds, but I don't really care- I just LOVE them! Talk about horses and I'll perk up immediately!

P.S. This is a banner I made for Howrse.

P.P.S. My username on Howrse is ponyfanatic

I love horses full sop! They are the best creature in the world. I love riding horses because it is fun, it keeps you and the horse you are riding healthy.

The best ride I have ever been on was the time I learned to trot. I was on a 2 hour trail ride at Gunnamatta trail rides in rye!(I recommend this place to anyone who loves to ride)

Why I'm HorseCrazy...

by Julianna
(McMurray, PA, USA)

It all started in July. July 9th, to be exact. I was on a trail ride with my friend, and I loved it. So I signed up for riding lessons.

Today, I'm a skilled hunter-jumper. My leased lesson horse's name is Dingo. He's an Arab-Welsh mix pony, and he rocks!

I also recently attended a horse camp. It was soooo fun! PLUS I got a free gift card to this tack shop. I bought riding gloves, paddock boots, and a horse necklace. Soooo awesome.

And that's why I'm so horsecrazy. I hope many horselovers to come will see this!

I LOVE HORSES!!!!!

by Leah P,
(U.S.A.)

Because horses are just the best things in the world. How do you not fall in love with the cutest face in the world. I mean I known some people are scared because of their size. But does that mean that they can't learn to love them. And I have been riding since I was in kindergarten. And over the years I have just become more and more attached to them. Honestly without horses it feels like I have an empty hole in my heart. That's how much horses mean to me.

Sorry I need to get some pictures!

In Love With Horses

by HorseTreats

I've loved horses ever since I can remember, and a long time before that. I LOVE Horses. I have Breyers and horse drawings and horse pictures ALL OVER. Horses are so beautiful!!! Especially when they gallop in wide open fields and the sky is just right. Even chores can't stop me from wanting one. I love horses because some of them are just so sweet and caring!

My friends and I have made a Horse Lovers Go Ride Club. (it's a very small club and it's not really a club at all, more like a go to the fair or call or maybe get together and ride horses thing! 'Club' just makes it sound cool.)

I don't own a Horse, but I really want one, and if I save up my money, I figured out that in two or three years I might be able to get some land and finally get my very own horse ore pony.

And then I could dress it up on Halloween, and take it for rides with my friends (one of my friends in our Horse Lovers Go Ride has more than one ride-able horse, so our three people rides work), and have a friend that will be there for me when ever I need one.

A horse that looks exactly like Snowball. :)

A horse that looks exactly like Snowball. :)

I find horses are loyal to us they're like oversized dogs but mainly for girls. Horses can easily make u feel better when your upset or mad. They comfort you. I was drawn to horses when I was six. I went horseback riding (before that, I fell off and nearly fell off a cliff). Since I fell off I was horrified of horses, but something told me to get back on, get back on. So I followed that little voice. I got back on. The horse I was riding, Snowball, was stomping at some flies. I got scared of him because I was afraid that I was going to fall off again. (I mean could you blame me I was six) In that moment I started crying I stopped. I stopped because Snowball was trying not to make me cry. Even though the flies were unbearable, he kept perfectly still. I was completely astonished. It was a connection between us. He could sense my emotions and if they were bad emotions, he tried to make them better. I fell in love with that horse. After that day I rode him for my birthday and a few other times but after that year I never saw him again. I will always love him. And when he dies, I will be heartbroken. I will most likely cry for months. I will never forget how that horse helped me overcome my fear of horses. No horse will replace him. Ever.

The first time I got on her she was calm because all I did was walk, the second time I trotted it was ok, and the third time I loped she got wired like somebody gave too much grain because my brother did on accident so he says, but I don't belive him.

My akward Pony!

by Megan
(USA)

These are my pups!

These are my pups!

One day, as i was on a trail ride my horse saw a deer. He started to follow so i tried to pull him away but he was too strong. After the deer ran off he still followed. What was so odd was that the deer went in a different direction. He kept going and led me to a box. He kept looking at me then back at the box. I hopped off my pony and opened up the wet box with holes in it. When i opened the box i saw 4 puppies and their mother. I told my mom and she said we will put up a " found puppies" sign and if no one calls to receive them that we would keep them. A year later, i fell into a creek and the cataracts were so strong. The mother dog heard me scream and ran to me. My horse jumped his pastured fence and ran to me. Somehow they worked together to pull me out of the water. They saved my life and now i out it to them. My horse and my dog with her four pups are my life.

My Horse Life

by Morgan
(NC)

I have always loved horses and finally got 2 horses on valentines day in 2009. I have Emmy who is a Spotted Saddle Horse(we think) she's five years old and was abandoned at an auction and taken home by my dad's friend.

A little while after they had her, she had Dexter who is part Tennessee Walking Horse and cost a couple thousand dollars just to deliver because of some problems during birth. My dad's friend gave them both to us after they weaned Dexter.

Me and my brother also used to take riding lessons and had Emmy trained there and I've been training Dexter with some help from my brother. He's done great so far and hasn't bucked yet and hopefully never will x).

I love to draw horses and have been drawing them since I was real little although most are real awful looking I've been slowly getting better over the years x.

I've never really been one of the people who like to colour my drawings, so a coloured drawing from me will be real rare xD

Another thing about my drawings are that they are never traced not because I've never tried but because every time I do it is probably the worst drawing ever x) so if I draw something from somewhere it is by just looking and drawing from it.

I am 16 years old. My dad owns a junkyard and me and my brother help him with it. We have a lot of...different cars. xD Some of them include a 4x4 69 Charger RT painted like the general lee, a 71 Challenger RT SE station wagon, a altered wheel base Baracuda, and lots more including my 67 mustang which of course has everything to do with horses xD

I love to read any horse book I can find and love to watch horse movies my favorites would have to be the the phantom stallion book series and movie is Spirit. ^^

My friends all think I'm a horse maniac and if you see my room you'd know why because everywhere you look there's something to do with horses. I collect all kinds of Breyer horses my fav. Is Blugrass Bandit. I play on Howrse my username is Tukell and I am always open to friends C:

Everyone thought it was funny, well except my instructure she was freaking out. Or when I got stepped on by a horse and I was like 8 so I didn't know what to do so I was standing there yelling with the horses foot on my foot and I was screaming well. It wasn't really funny but looking back at it now it is kinda funny. I can tell you horselovers all my storys. I can also give advice for horses, tack, riding English or Western. And lots more.

This is a picture of me and jade!

This is a picture of me and jade!

Horses have always been a part of my life in some way. When i was a little girl I always wanted a horse. When i turned 11 I got my very first horse! Her name was jade. She was a good beginner horse which was perfect for me at that time. As i got older jade started to seem to slow for me because i was becoming more advanced in riding. I still loved jade but I started to not visit her as much. So when i was about 13 and a half we sold jade. I had two pretty good years with her. I still love her though.
Anyways, I now want another horse. So i've been looking around on the internet at horse adds trying to figure out what i want. I have a good idea but i still am not for sure.
I have always loved horses! They are beautiful and amazing. I love drawing horses and just looking at pictures of them. But one of my favorite thing about horses is horseback riding, I love going on a good long trail ride ever since i was a little girl!
And that's why i love horses more than alot of things. Right after my family and friends comes horses!

Totally Horsecrazy!!!!

I'm horsecrazy because I simply love horses. I love how graceful they are. They are so friendly and they build confidence. It's a privilege to even be around a horse for a second for me.

I love this horse named Taco. This is the story of the best ride ever. I was in camp and we wanted t canter down the beach. I raised my hand and I got to go. As we were trotting to the place we were going to start, I had butterflies. As soon as the first stride, I felt like I was flying. It was the most amazing feeling ever!

The best horse adventure I've ever been on is when I was on vacation at St. Lucia. As we were heading to the destination on the trail. My horse got spooked and started to gallop. Then, we got lost. I finally got control and found the group. I almost fell off! It was so scary but a great adventure!

Why I'm HorseCrazy...

by Trina
(Neenah WI, USA)

I am horsecrazy because I feel like horses understand me. Horses make me feel good and I feel like they are my best friends. I love to ride, not many people ride horses in my school, I don't live on a farm, my parents don't have any background of horses, I just love them.

I help at a farm place, I take lessons, but my parents don't want to get a horse because they think it might be too expensive. So when I go to the different places that involve horses I feel like I am at home.

That is why I am horsecrazy!

Mad about all things equestrian

by Lucinda
(Godalming, Surrey, England)

My name is Lucinda and I love horses very much and I am a keen horse enthusiast. I have ridden for many years now and when I left school I went to an equine college to undertake a '2 year national diploma in horse management course'.

Whilst at equine college I also took some BHS (British horse society) exams and my riding and road safety exam, as well as a feeding diploma (so I am an expert in horse nutrition!)

At present I am continuing my education with studying levels in english (literature and language) and fine art, as I wish to continue into the equine industry. My ambition is to become an equine journalist, which requires extensive horse knowledge alongside academic skills.

I have previously worked as a full-time and part-time 'groom' at various stables and equestrian establishments and have had a detailed insight into the 'practical' side of the equine industry.

Whilst working at different stables (including; polo, carriage driving, riding school, livery and equestrian centres), I also have shared two horses. Owning a horse or pony is very expensive and once you have crossed the line of 'riding school lessons' the next best option I found was to 'share' a horse, which I did; one for a short time and another horse I shared for quite some time.

On both occasions I have had to stop sharing the horse due to the owners choice, which is very difficult as you can get attached to the animal. As you can see I have had a lot of experience with horses (not in the sense that I am an 'amazing; blaze' horse person!) but in regards to the fact that I have spent a lot of time with them as I just love them so much and every experience I have had with horses (good or bad) I have found useful and never wasted.

Now that I am at home doing study and exams etc... And am therefore unable to ride or go to a stables, it is lovely to find such a nice website that it tailored to all things horsey and I do hope to add to my love of horses via 'horsecrazygirls.com'!!! Xxxx (my apologies for not having a photo!)

THE AMERICAN DREAM COME TRUE!

by Lucie
(Abingdon)

I am horse crazy because it was the very first time i got my very own horse!!!!!!!
It started when i was in america for a holiday and we went for this trip thing. We all were soooooooo exited, i nearly wet myself!;0 So we walked all the way down this really hot place sort of desert like! Then i heard this whinnie coming from behind a bush. When i looked behind it i saw this majestical, strong PALOMINO arabian mare!!!!(i knew it was a arab because it had the dished face and the vet said it was a arab!) Then i sort of got closer to it and saw it was pregnant! I thought i should get the vet and check it out but it could of been dangerous but i did call her over and she said someone will have to care for her so i said i will! But then my mum and dad said we can't take on a wild pregnant mare when you have only just saw it! But then i said we have a really big field next to our house! but they said it was this really old persons field which he uses for training his dogs! but he doesn't even use it! so then we phoned him up all the way in england to ask if we can keep her in the field and he said ok only if she doesn't give birth right now! so then we got out this rope thing and tied it round her neck gently and she didn't even rear! SO then it was over and we transported her on a animal care boat and when they got her home she was so different. Before she was a bit frightened but now she is soooooooooooo calm and gentle that a year later my mum said i can have her!!!!!!!!!!!!! I thought of a name for her and came up with SUNRISE that is how i am going to spell it with capatals by the way. I couldn't believe it!!!! SHE IS GOING TO BE MINE!!!!!!!!!! AND SHE GAVE BIRH TO A POWERFUT STALLION!!!!!!!! We named him ARAGON and i am going to spell his name like that with capitals too!

SO THERE YOU GO, THAT IS MY VERY FIRST HORSES I HAVE HAD.
LATER ON I GOT EVAN MORE HORSES!!!!!!!!!!!

P.S. THEY ARE ALL ARABIANS BY THE WAY!
AND SUNRISE DOES NOT LIKE CAMERAS SO I ONLY HAVE A PIC OF ARAGON

MY HORSE CRAZY LIFE!

by Bryce
(Floyd Knobs, IN,USA)

My name is Bryce, i am a 13 year old girl with a passion for horses! When I was five my Grandma and Grandpa took me to a Welsh Mountain Pony farm in Indiana! A man had talked to them ahead of time and told them that they only had one more pony available and that her name was Katie.
The man went in to the big barn filled with horses and slipped the halter and lead on. The not yet graceful 1 year old slowly made her way to the gate. My grandpa and the man talked for awhile and then we left... without the horse!

I cried not knowing that the following week the pony would be on our 52 acre farm in Kentucky the derby state! One year later would be the worst time of my life! My parents got a divorce! during that time i spent most of my life in Kentucky with my Grandma and Grandpa. My life from then on was full of horses and ponies! My room was covered from head to toe in breyer horses and i could hardly sleep in my bed for all of the stuffed toy horses!

Now Katie is 7 yrs old and on may 18th she will be 8! She is a pure breed Welsh Mountain Pony. She is dark bay with a black mane and tail! she has a star and a snipe on her forehead and on her back fetlocks are the tinniest bit of white! I am in sixth grade going on seventh and i am truly a horse crazy girl!

Horses are the best and don't tell me any different!!!

My dream horse! (Pippen)

My dream horse! (Pippen)

Coz I love horses more than anyone out there. I have always dreamed of owning a horse of my own but we can't afford to buy one let alone keep one. When i grow up i want to be a equine vet. When i have qualified I will hopefully set up a horse rescue organisation to rescue horses from all over the world! That's why i behave in school because i want to get all my qualifications!

i have 156 posters of horses, ponies and a couple of donkeys!!! I write poetry as well. Then i turn them into songs. Most of them are about horses unless my singing/piano teacher says that i should write something different!

I go to a local riding centre once a week. Although i only learn how to ride and not how to look after the ponies. I can go on riding holidays there and learn to look after them then but my parents say its way too expensive:( My fav ponies there are Breeze (Chestnut mare, stubborn but sweet!) And Nangles (Named after a cigerette shop! lol. Gelding, very dark brown lazy but cute!) I absolutely loooooovvvvveeee horses sooo much. Mom says i'm weird coz i wish that there would be ORANGE horses! (My fav colour in the world that out numbers everything but horses!!!!) I have been riding for a little over 8 years but so far haven't achieved much:(
I WILL SOME DAY THOUGH!!

Equine Horsey Edits

by Ashleigh, Chelsea, Emma & Angel
(Blackburn, UK)

The Code to Life - Just a little edit to go with the text :) xx

The Code to Life - Just a little edit to go with the text :) xx

Hey there :)

Well just to start this off, my name is Ashleigh and me and some friends have created a horse editing account on Facebook. Its the first time were doing something like this, but not having much luck at the moment /:

We're all HORSE Crazy and own our own horses! Except from Chelsea. The other girls who help with this account are called Emma & Angel. We have some slight problems as we don't get on Facebook as much as we would like to /:

Anyway.. We've made this account so all you Horsey people can get your pictures edited for FREE! And I said already its our first time and some of them do turn out wrong, but we are getting there!

So if you were interested and you got one that turned out a little wrong - Many apologies to you! But we try to make them as Fantastic as possible.

All you have to do once added is: Upload the picture/pictures you want us to edit on to our wall! with some information about you and your horse; Like how long you've been together, dates, etc.(: And we shall TRY our VERY BEST to SURPRISE you!!:D♥ - If you add and you don't like what you see, that's fine too :) we all have opinions and we are more than happy to accept them :)

We do not tolerate any bad language on our wall, comments etc. If you are spotted by us.. we will have to remove - its only fair.

We look forward to hearing from you all, (if you're interested) and by the way you can inbox anytime and we'll be happy to help! - Just be patient as I said we don't get on that much :( that's about it really -

http://facebook.com/XEquineEditsX

Thanks, Much love to you all & your horses :)

P.S if you don't own horses, you can still add! Don't worry about it :)

I Might go to State if I Qualify!

by Bettie Lou

I started to be horsecrazy when I rode a horse when I was really little. I wasn't scared and my parents knew that they were seeing the future! LOL!

The next time I rode a horse, which was a few years after that, it was with a cranky pony with a bad hairdo that didn't like me. Soon, I begged my mom to get me lessons. We did then I went to lots of camps and learned how to jump.

Now, my mom is considering leasing a horse for me to go to show with one of my friends did that and made it to state!! I'm super excited!!

Well, I started taking riding lessons and I was hooked! I ride a horse named Stardust and he is a big black horse.

But now I have my own horse and she is adorable! Her name is Gold Rush. She is a palomino foal who is a yearling.

Since I can't go riding on her yet, I ride Stardust whenever I can. There is a picture of Gold Rush somewhere here. She is with her Aunt Cloud.

I love all three of the horses!

Hey guyz! I love horses because I've been around them my whole life. I wasn't that into them until the summer between 3rd and 4th grade when I first started real riding (not walking on a lunge line) I am a member of a pony club now and have been riding for 2 years now. It feels like 20 years. I've learned so much in pony club!!!!!!!!!!!

If you want to learn to ride, pony club is the way to go! Its, like, super cheap and awesome!!!!!!!! You have to lease or own a horse for the pony club I go to, but I don't know about other ones.

If u want to learn more go to http://www.Ponyclub.Org/

Horse

I went to this barn because I was going to get a horse and we needed someplace to put one for a while. So when I got a horse I was there for a while at the barn. This one horse just always wanted me to be there, I don't know why but it just seemed like it never wanted me to go away.

So I started putting my horse out there with her / sugar is the name and they got along so good.

I just cant get that horse out of my head ever since we got a place for my horse. I've been trying to go back but I haven't had a chance in forever. I guess that's why I'm horse crazy, by keeping sugar in my heart.

HorseCrazy4Ever

by Rosalind

Here's my story of why I am horse crazy!
Well , when I was about 2/3 I went to a farm where my brother goes riding. My mum said there would be big horses and I needed to be extra careful.

For a week, I was so excited! When we were driving, I was asking my mum about 50 questions and up. When we got there, I jumped out and ran to the tack room. In there, there was stacks of helmets, boots, rosettes, biscuits, the list was endless. I took a biscuit from the tin and sat down.

My mum went to get my older brother ready, so I went to look at the horses. There was a big old horse called badger. I said ' Hi horsey! ' ( or so my mum says!) he reached down and nuzzled me! From that day on, I went pony mad. Here is a list of things I have in my room:

a pony notebook (or 5o!)
a Katie Price's perfect ponies book
pony pens
a pony pencil case
three shelves full of pony books
a pony notice board
pony gloves for reins
pony jeans
pony tops
pony socks
pony pants
pony schoolbag
I can't finish this list , my fingers hurt

I also go riding every Saturday and am going to pony camp and I want a pony!!

That's why I'm pony mad!!

Katie and Lady

I am SO horse crazy! I just love the fact that your horse will always love you and will do what you say when you ask. I have always loved jumpers, they are so graceful!

I have ridden western since I was eight, then I wanted to learn more, so I started leasing a pretty white Arab named Lady. I have learned so much about horses since I began leasing her in May, 2010.

Every night I read horse books until I fall asleep. Whenever I am in a lesson I always see the people who have their own horse and think they are the luckiest people in the world. If I ever get a horse I would ride it every day, and always groom her and wash her and take care of her. I just started riding English, and now I do jumping, but I am only allowed to ride English during lessons.

Lady is an okay jumper, she can jump up to about 2'3" if she wants to. But she is really afraid of jumps. Just today I jumped her and she jumped too early and tripped over the jump, and fell a little, she hit her knee on the ground but then got right back up. I am so glad she is okay! I remember the first time I jumped. I was riding western, this was maybe around March.

My instructor said "go trot over that jump". I looked at the jump. Pretty tiny jump. I asked if I could walk it first and she said no so I trotted to the jump and then Lady awkwardly stopped so I tapped my heels on her and she stepped on the pole accidentally and jumped straight into the air! I flew out of the saddle and landed on the side on the saddle, and my leg hit the saddle horn, and the saddle was slipping but I held on, then I tried the jump again.

I quickly trotted toward the jump and she flew over it. Piece of cake. Now I LOVE jumping. I'm a jumper girl alright.

Horse lover since 1992

by Kim
(Edgewood)

I have always loved horses since the day I was born. My room is wall to wall of nothing but horses and horse related items. I have horse toys, books blankets stuffies and more.

I can never have enough horse stuff. But I don't have a real horse, and wish so much that I did. The horses that I see and read about are so beautiful, mysterious.

The horses seem so wild and yet so calm and in control. But it is not just horses that I love I also love all animals. Horses are my fav and bunnies are right behind horses in my heart.

I have a rabbit that I love very much, she is an American Blue, she weights 11 pounds, and her name is Cricket. I don't have any photos of a horse but I do have a photo of Cricket to show you what she looks like.

My Treasure

by Skyar
(South Carolina)

I have had a hard life after my dad died I begged my mom to get me a horse every day so finally she said fine I will get you a horse. So she looked on craigslist we saw many horses then we passed by a horse with skin cancer we went to look at him a week or so later. We looked at him and brought him to my grandparents house so every weekend I would go over there. When we got enough money we built a small pasture at our house he got lonely so my cousin bought a mean mare that hated me. My horse cost too much so we gave him back to his owner.

My cousins horse velvet got lonely so she called my mom and told here she was bringing 2 horses. When they got to my house I ran super fast to the pasture. When I got down there they were unloading a white paso fino mare out of the trailer, then they backed out a DONKEY. The next day me and my mom went outside to look at the mare. 2 days later my mom told m that the mare died.I began to go out there and pet the donkey he was so sweet he always rubbed against me. I fell in love with him we began to get so close then we moved and we have to sell him. My heart feels like it has just been broken into a million pieces.
I found my soul mate but he is gone.

I love this horse site because I have found a lot of fun horse games to play and I like the stories and the holiday give-away!! Best wishes to all those horse lovers out there!!!!!

Hot Stuff♡

I just recently put my top horse down called Hot Stuff and I also recently sold my 1m and 1.10 horse 😭 This was terrible and prevented me from riding for about a month 😦 My instructor told me I have to start a new chapter instead of being stuck on the same page. This helped me a lot and I started riding my pony Batman who I'm currently jumping in 90 but training for 1m 😋 a few months latter my instructor and I flew down to Port Elizabeth to try 9th a few horse from Anthony Kay 😃♡ my future flashed before me when I tried out Renovatio a 5 yr old 17hh to just off the track 😍 it was as if Hot Stuffs spirit was inside of him 😊 we negotiated and made necessary arrangement 😊 now it was for the long wait ♡ two weeks latter I got him ♡it was a dream come true 😝 a day I will never forget ! I'm currently jumping 90cm/1m with him and building my way to the top ♡ watch out world here comes another two champions on their way ♡•

Thank you Hot stuff for making me the rider I am 😍may your soul rest in peace ill never forget you 😊 when my turn comes you may gallop over and welcome me ♡

My Life

by Rayna
(Mesa, AZ, USA)

Okay everyone! I am crazy for our lovely equine friends that teach us so much. I live in the city of Mesa in Arizona, USA. If you don't know me, read a few of my stories on here! My most recent one is "The First Snow!"

I have been horse crazy for like a few years now, but unfortunately I'm not getting a horse yet. A lot of people ask me questions about horses, but they always start it out with "So if you ever get a horse...." But I know better because I don't say, "So if I get a horse" instead I say, "So when I get a horse" because my mom promised me a horse someday. And when I say, "I WANT A HORSE!" I just mean, I want one right now, But I'm going to have to wait till I get one hopefully soon.

My house is the average size, with a pool, a basketball court and just a plain grassy area to play in. (That's where my 5 bunnies live!) But we might move soon! If we do, my mom said she'll try to make sure we get a house with enough room for a horse! Keep being equine crazy!

i have luved horses since ever! my first word was "horsey"! i luv horses cuz they are so cool to watch and u can learn so much with them. they teach u patience and lots more. i have a 6 yr. old pony at Champagne Run and even though he is just a baby and very green, we have learned so much together.

my best ride ever was at a horse show at the horse park cuz i was ridin this horse who was crazy and when we were warming up he was terrible but when we got in the arena we came out with a first place and a champion on the bridle!! no one could believe it. i think that he was just tryin to impress the judges and all the other ponies watchin!!

my best horse adventure would have to be one time when my bff just got her first pony and we went out to the barn on a sunday when no one else was there except us and we went out on the cross country field and just rode for like the rest of the day! it was so much fun!!! im totally horsecrazy!!

I love horses because they are kind and gentle creatures. I also love horses because when I was about 5 years old I was deathly afraid of them but that changed and I just instantly started to love them like I was never afraid of horses!

Ever since then I've ridden horses and I groom them all the time. I usually use my grandma's but I sometimes go to one of my friend's house to groom and ride her horse. This probably doesn't have to do with why I love horses but I really want my own horse one day!

My Sad HorseCrazy Life +D

by Victoria
(Ohio, USA)

Hey! My name is Victoria, and you may see a lot of me on this site.:P I`m new for sure to the site, but I`m going to post stories up soon!(: I`m 14 years old and I have been riding since I was 7.
-------------------------

Before I was 7, I had no clue what horseback riding meant and why horses were so special. Then, one day, my mom signed me up for a horse camp with my cousin. I instantly fell in love with the horse I was riding at camp, a bay mare named Sarah. She was a quarter horse x paint mare and I first rode western, but quit western and decided to do English just 2 months later. Sarah died a few weeks after the horse camp because of the rare sickness she had (forget what it was, lol).

After getting kicked by a horse my mom refused to let me ride till I was 13. My boyfriend supported me through it when I was first starting to ride again, on a thoroughbred mare named Lady, she was 11 years old and trained well. But my boyfriend and I broke up the day after that, so no more supporting for me. But that was when my trainer came along, and told me how boys will be boys and horses are forever. And now, I TOTALLY agree! Lady, and the thoroughbred gelding, Andy are the only ones for me!<3

Lady and Andy--besides my dog, Skylar--are my life and always will be. I ride normal English, English pleasure and show jumping, plus learning dressage!(:

Me, Horses, and Friends

by Lina
(Canada)

Hey,
My name is Lina. I've loved horses my whole life. I have a couple horses and hope to get another. My horses names are, Request A Reynbow(Rey) Candy, Smoke and Fantsy.

I love to help out and be a person who you other horse crazys can ask questions. I volunteer at the zoo. I volunteer at various animal shelters and horse shelters. I also volunteer at multiple other places such as the library.

My fav animal is horses/ponies. Then its wolves or the dog family. Then cheetahs or the cat family. After that all animals are my favourites. I dislike spiders!

If your christian or catholic or anything else, we should talk. My friends aren't horse crazy people, so I would love to have a friend to talk to about horses. I am older than 10 younger than 15. I don't care about age that much. If your horse crazy and nice and wanna be friends that's good enough for me. Just comment and I'll comment back.

If you have a question, I'll do my best to answer. It can be about me, horses, animals, or basically anything.

Call me the Horse Dictonary!

by Calla
(Pennsylvania)

Horse fan!

Horse fan!

Horses, there is nothing better than them! A lot of times my friends call me a walking horse dictionary, and I don't mind because I like it!

No, I don't have one of these magnificent animals to call my own, but I am hoping in the kind of near future - maybe the next two-three years. I am hoping-and dying-to get a horse.

If you watch the Saddle Club, in season one, you know how Red said he would do anything to get a horse like Garnet, stuck up Veronica's horse. Well I would do just about anything and everything to get my own horse to groom and love day in and day out!

Sometimes I will just sit and dream about owning my own horse, or should I say long for my own? One day I will get my own horse, I know it!

You Can Trust A Horse

by Horse Crazy Southern Girl

I love horses and love to be around them. I would do anything possible to get one. I especially love horses because they are the most trustworthy animal ever. I would trust them with my life, honestly.

You can trust a horse because they can defend you, help you, comfort you and lots lots more. I think it's the best feeling in the world when you get a horse to trust you and bond with it. You can definitely trust a horse.

My love for horses

by Olivia
(S.C.)

I know we all love horses. The thing is we can't all have horses.

Just because you can't have a horse don't mean you can't learn as much as possible. You never know your parents might be so impressed they might get you one. Don't bug them about cause it is annoying to your parents so they might never get you one.

It is good to know a lot about horses that way if you get one you know what to do. Young rider, Practical horseman, and etc. is good to read.

Also if your friend gets a horse don't be jealous. It is not a good concept! My friend got a horse. It means she was lucky. Be happy for her. My friend has three horses, so what!

If you're considering becoming a horse vet I will tell you now it is not a good choice. Unless you are totally committed. There is stuff a lot worse then putting a horse down.

I love horses.I mean they're awesome. I try to learn as much as possible because I want to know these things if I get a horse. So you should try to.

If you want a horse but it seems you will never get one don't give up. You need to stay committed. I don't think my parents will ever get me one. But I will NOT give up. I will try my best to get one. That don't mean I will get one but a least I will try.

I think if you love horses you could try to get a horse job a least. You could do so many things. Be a trainer, vet, etc. So try your best.

I hope I inspired you to try your best.

Horsecrazy by Taylor

(Kansas)

I am so in love with my horse, he is the sweetest horse ive ever met and im so glad i chose him to be my partner. He is a great horse even though he is young and hes always calm at shows when i am nervous. My best ride would probably be when i won my first 1st place on my horse. It was the most exciting thing!

I have always been horsecrazy, whenever me and my father would drive past a place with horses i would always make him stop and let me get out to pet them. I never really played with barbies or dolls it was always horses, plastic horses, breyer horses and all the other horse toys you could think of.

It was all my mom's fault when i was 6 months old my mom put me on a horse and from that moment i knew i was ment to be on horses. Horses aren't my whole life but they do make my life whole.

Riding to me is...

by Chloe
(Tx)

Riding to me is like being on a different planet. It's like an ESCAPE from all of the troubles in this world. People don't always understand horse people. I'm not understood by many people. I don't have many HORSE-PEOPLE friends.

But to me, that doesn't matter. I have two horses. They are the best friends you can ask for. They are what matter to me. They are my priority.

MY HORSES...

My oldest horse, Bobbin, is 28. He was my mom's since she was 14. Bobbin is a bay quarter horse gelding, with a huge heart. He could NEVER hurt a fly. He gets sick a lot by eating acorns. I'm afraid that he will get sick at an old age, and not be able to push through if it was a bad sickness. I love him. <3

My mare, Peppy's Fancy Belle, or Lady, is 7. She is more wild. She is a sorrel appendix quarter horse mare that we use for barrel racing. She is really fast sometimes, but sometimes she gets lazy. A few months back, we were thinking of breeding her. That thought drained off quickly. Now, sadly, she is just sitting in the pasture, not being ridden because we have too much stuff keeping us occupied. I love her. <3

Horsecrazy for life!

by Carly

Hey! My name is Carly and I am totally horse crazy :) I have been riding for about 3 and a half years and I love it :D I don't own a horse, but I used to lease one-a chestnut quarter horse x saddlebred (we think) mare named Spot, after the spot shaped star on her forehead, before I outgrew her (and she got sick) was around 14.3-15hh or something like that. :)

I also have ridden a chestnut Arabian gelding named Chester..for like 2 lessons. He was like 16 hands and really rough to ride. After him, there was Breeze, an Appaloosa gelding:) he was such a good boy, and I miss him terribly. :$

I'm switching stables this fall. I ride both English and western. Mostly English, though :) I can do English pleasure~hunt seat mostly. I took a break from riding in the winter and spring 2011, I highly regret it. I can't wait to go back to riding! I hope to lease again.

My cousins also own 3 western horses. :)

Tess is a bay quarter horse mare, around 16hh, she's probably around 21. She does normal western, and the first horse I ever rode. I love her to pieces and I only see her twice a year, but she's the love of my life. :)

Then there's Dollar, she's a chestnut quarter horse mare, 16 years old. She's a great horse, does barrels, poles and more. I've never ridden her before, but she's great. :)

Last but not least is Flicka. She is a chestnut quarter horse mare, about 7. She's only have trained, but a good girl and I love her so much. She's really sweet and I haven't ridden her before either, I can't.

I'm going to see them all at horse camp in August. :)

Well, bye for now :$

Sitting on Shawnee!!!

We have had shawnee home for about 3 mounts now and she has arthritis:( we don't know why but it might be because she gets stiff in the winter. Now she is doing fine and we like to play games like tag. Well actually she follows me and runs around with me outside. We were doing that the other day! It was so fun!!

We were in my front yard and we got the mail and I was sitting on her then i was feeling brave so I knelt on her for the first time! It was so fun!!! She was bucking and shaking her head when we were running around! It was really cute and funny!! Then we took her back to the barn and groomed her. Then I put her back out in the pasture and she decided to roll in the mud!!! Well so much for grooming!' I thought and just laughed. It was a really fun day!!!

horses

by haylee b
(columbus ohio)

I have loved horses for 6 years. And i have ridden for about..... 3 years. It started by the fair ponies you ride at the obviously fair.Since then i have asked for models, toys and everything between. Then i started riding english at liberty farm in ohio.I became not a big fan of this place after 2 months. So i quit and a while later we found dare equestrian center. As in we i mean me and my grandma who is the woman that made all this happen. The first time i sat to watch a lesson and a pony ran off with a rider!! But that didnt matter i still wanted to do it.So i started on a beautiful 22 year old quarter horse,Polly.A bucking horse but till this day she has never done it with me.After the first week my sister decided to join and started on a 22 year old bay quarter horse,Moonie.Soon i had gotten rid of a back rider and rode by my self. While i fell in love with a tall flea-bitten grey thouroubred,Brie,my sister fell in love with a fast paint, ranger. We soon found out he was for sale and talked to our grandma we were ready to get him.We went online shopped for tack and everything and caculated it all.THEN we found out he had navicular disease. It is a bone in the heel and would cause pain.We were going to do a surgery which caused $1500 to $2500.It would mean he wouldnt live for much long and we decided to wing it.So we went on with lessons and thought about it and looked online and found a beautiful standardbred named smokey. We were going to test ride him but that date became unknown. So again we countinued with lessons and soon my sister joined the iea team so she could show. She did so great she went to nationals winning 1st place.Iwent every time helping and holding horses. But i joined the team in 2009 august and did so bad i wouldnt place or i would get 4th and 5th.But this year 2010 i plan to do better.I currently dont own a horse but want to at least lease sometime!. thanks for listening!

p.s. yes i have fallen off while cantering english on tall thourohgbred brie with no stirrups. It wasnt her fault i just lost my balance!

cheveyo: my first love

cheveyo: my first love

Well I am 14 now but i've been horse crazy all my life... It all started when I was 5, my grandpa would always take me on rides on his big gentle teddy bear roan, leroy. My mom was a single parent so she could never afford to get me my own horse so I always had little horse figures to play with and I took lessons every week at a little stables on a horse called playgirl, I took lessons until I reached middle school and my grandma decided I was ready to have a horse of my own.

We searched and searched and finally we found a cute little appaloosa horse that was dirty and scruffy but it was love at first sight and I knew he was the one. We hitched the trailer up and picked him up the next weekend. After tons of horse shampoo and extensive brushing we uncovered the true beauty underneath all the mud and dirt, my beautiful horse Cheveyo!

The Love of My life Emma :)

Hey there! I am horse crazy for a lot of reasons. I have been around horses for 10 years. I started riding when I was 5 years old taking lesson on a horse named Charlie.

After some years of moving to different stables and taking lessons, i started to lease an 14.00 hh exmoor/mustang pony named Breeze. He was 27 years old. I didn't do much with him except for galloping bareback in some grass on the street, or taking him for trail rides with my mom.

After my horse level experience went up, I got a 17 year old 15.2 Palomino Quarter horse named Sundance. He came from a trail riding stable up at Red Feather, and trail riding horses don't do much but walk, so every time I would ask him to trot or canter, he would buck. Even lunging. And he was very spooky. So after throwing me and my mom off, and giving us multiple injuries, we sold him, and moved to a real stable. I then got a 7 year old 13.2 POA pony (Pony of the Americas) named Comet to do all around with.

Boy did that name fit her! She was lightning fast! So after I got a few lessons in, I started to do Gymkhanas on Comet. Then my friend started doing some shows, so I took Comet to one of them, and i was hooked on Showing forever. We didn't win big in the shows, cause she was so fast, so we did more Gymkhanas.

When I outgrew Comet, we sold her and got myself a real nice 15.1 Sorrel Quarter Horse Gelding named L2. We didn't like that name, so we changed it to Flash, but then nobody at my stable liked that name so after riding him for a bit and seeing what his personality was, we came up with the name Poker, because he could go fast or slow.

I did gymkhanas with him at first, but he moved like a western pleasure horse, so I put spurs on him and turned him into a nice Jumper. Poker developed lots of lameness issues, and so I could no longer jump him, and we were spending thousands of dollars each month to keep him sound, and it just wasn't fun for me anymore. So after about a year of owning Poker, we sadly had to sell him to get me a jumping horse.

I now have a 11 year old Paint/Thoroughbred Appendix named Emma who I do western and English on with lots of showing. Her show name is The Secretary. Want to Know why? Because she is The famous racehorse Secretariat's Granddaughter! Yes, HIS granddaughter!

Emma and I will have been together for a year on July 9th 2011. We definitely have had our ups and downs. She was abused when she was a baby, so she has some baggage, but I said after I sold Poker I wanted a project horse and that's what I got.

When Emma was a baby she was raised in Mexico and was raced on the the track, but then came to Colorado, and only had one year at a good home, then came to me.

Emma is an AMAZING jumper! I have jumped her 2'9 and show at the 2'0-2'3 height. She is a very cute mover to. But being abused makes lots of things scary for her. Some examples are when I first got her, I couldn't spray fly spray on her without her freaking out. Same with baths. And she was afraid of loud noises and dark spots in the arena. Nobody told us she was so scared of things. She also cannot be put in a stall without blowing up. And same with the trailer. She thinks its going to eat her. But I asked for a project horse, and that's what I got.

So this past year we have created such a bond and lots of trust. I now can spray fly spray on her and she's practically asleep! Same with bathing. I can make more noise than I thought she would ever let me! She still is careful with sudden movements in her face, but a lot of horses don't like flying stuff in there face (hand waving etc). And scary things in the arena are not a problem anymore!

Yeah she's not perfect with things, and every once in a while she steps sideways from something scary in the arena, but its nothing! All horses are afraid of something! The stalling part is still a big issue and trailering to, but we are working on it. We go out every weekend and practice trailer loading, but now that summers here and shows are here, she will be fine.

Luckily Emma is so calm when we are at shows, it takes some stress off! :) But it has been an amazing year with her, and yes at times I do wish i had a different horse, but all horse owners go through that.

Well, that's my horse life, and I plan on being around them for the rest of my life! :D

Born Horse Crazy

by Yvette
(Stanfield, AZ)

Well I've been horse crazy ever since I was born! Right now I own a P.O.A. named Sasha and before I had her she was an abused horse.

Every time you got on her she would run until you just had to slide or jump off of her (I always ride bareback).

After a year or so I had worked and bonded with her and my dad used to work in a ranch in AZ and my mom had her own so, horses run in my family's blood.

After all who can't love a horse?

Promise - almost my horse

Promise - almost my horse

I have always loved horses! Ever since I knew what they were! My family isn't rich and probably never will be and that makes it hard for me to do anything with horses unless my friends invite me to thier horseback riding lessons or parties....

It's been hard but I think I'll get through it because my mom got offered a good paying job in a horse community and it means we will have more money to spare!

I've always dreamed of riding off into the sunset on top of a horse that looks red when the sun hits it right! Luckly my dream may come sooner than I thought!

Well I'll keep you guys posted on where its all heading! Anyways heres a picture of a horse I almost got to adopt! Her name is Promise!

Me and My Crazy Obsession With Horses

by Natalie
(United States)

My name is Natalie, and I am 11 years of age. My love for horses started this year and has grown ever since. I live in suburbia, or the city. So I don't really have a horse; how could you even keep one in a modern house, really, but it is one of my dreams to own a boarding stable in the country with my parents and sister.

The only times I get to ride a horse are when we go to our state park- which has horseback riding, for an hour. It costs 50 dollars in U.S. money. I cherish and savor every moment of those rides.

That's my crazy life,
Natalie :)

blaze & pal

blaze & pal

Alright so here's my story, my mom raised me on horses basically. So one day she granted my ultimate wish on getting me my very own horse in about 3rd grade. He was a black stocky shetland, he was my best friend, and when i did something wrong he'd pretend not to notice. We had many trail rides together but as time grew & I became pretty tall. we sold him to a very loving home where as to this day is as happy as can be. So is this the end? well no it's not :)

so in my 8th grade year (now) i got another present. Her name is molly and she's registered chesnut QH. She's very fiesty, loves to run &food. and is cinchy but through my years i have lots of expierence. I always marvel at her multi-colored tail. black, white, red, and gold (yes it's 100% real!) (; anyways answer me in comments. she cow-kicks and is very food-aggressive, i love her but i don't like to see my sister's horse (Elvis, gelding) get beat up but she doesnt touch all my other horses. any suggestions? picture above is our other two geldings.

The only horse I have ridden was at the community fair and it was on a lead rope. I am begging my mom to send me to horse camp. My only horse education comes from my family's memories(my whole mom's side had horses, even one race horse), tv shows, books, and websites. No hands-on activity.

Until I get on a real horse, i will have to continue to play with my imaginary horse, DreamBot and Jazzy(just kidding). But don't worry DreamBot and Jazzy, I will never forget you.

And Sunshine, you will always be the best dog, no pet, in the world.

All the time when I'm sad, I go to my horse and I ride him and I just feel so happy around him. I don't have any friends at school and I am always in tears coming home. When I get home I call my aunt to ask if I could see my horse so I can talk to him!

It is really a great orginization and I love the animals. Horses are my passion now and I am really hoping to start riding soon. Thanks for reading why I am horse crazy. Hi. My name is Sadee, I am horse crazy! When I was about 5 years old me and my sister would get boxes and our broom and jump over them with our imaginary horses. Since we never had our own horses. We would always beg my mom to go to a park, right by horses.

One day our aunt took us to a girl named Jenna. She gave us horse riding lessons. When I was about 8 years old I crawled on my hands and knees and had my little sister ride me like a horse. That is why I am horse crazy.

She is my favorite horse in the world, and my favorite day of the week is Saturday because that is the one day of the week that I get to ride her.

I love horses because, they are so elegant and mysterious.

My horse was born wild, his old owner never rode him and he was just out in the field going 2 waste, it wasnt fair for me or him. My dad bought him, but didn't know how insane he was. So, I've been trying for a year, and I've been working with him.

Now, he's a beautiful horse who comes up to me when i want him, and he rides wonderfully. My favorite ride, was when Nick took off with me on his back, it puts things into perspective for me.

Nick is a paint quarter horse, he is my baby, my pride and joy, I love him so much!

My Foal Flora

My foal flora was sadly put down 3 years ago and we had to fight our way through it. She was very beautiful and only lasted a few months. Her mother corry was then put down last year from a heart disease.

They are both still in our hearts and we will always want them both back. The reason flora was put down was because corry was not looking after her very well and kicked her. She then broke her leg...

I love all ponies and horses and cruelty to horses is forbidden to me. When I'm older I would love to run a livery yard and give lessons to adults and children.

Me and my Mom are horsecrazy!

by Morgan
(Staffordshire)

My name is Morgan and I am nearly eleven. I am horsecrazy because mostly my mom is. I had my first pony when I was five. He was a little skewbald Shetland pony called bob the builder. Cute, eh? I had to sell him when I was about seven because my grandad became ill with stomach cancer and we didn't have time to look after him.

I remember the day she called me into her bedroom and said "Morgan, we have to sell bob because we don't have time to look after him." I cried for days. After that I went to a riding stables that I went to once a week for a riding lesson. I did that for about two years and then I had a year off of it because I had an extension on the house.

After the extension, I went mad without being able to see a horse so my mom bought me my present pony! She got him for my tenth birthday and I couldn't have got a better pony! He is a little chestnut gelding called Monty aka Montyman. His breed is a mix.

I love him to bits and another thing is... He is the same age as me and he has the same birth date as me!!! Well, my mom felt jealous that I had a pony and she didn't so she bought herself a n Arab called habanera or abi for short and she is the most energetic, dumbest, fast horse I have ever seen!

Anyway I bet you are bored with me and all this writing so bye!

Horses are my life, passion, hobby sport and EVERYTHING!

by Gracie

I'm so so so horse mad my entire life revolves around horses and I cant imagine a world without horses life would be dull for me as they mean the world to me.

I love horses in away that I'm pretty sure that my love for them cant be described its so much, sometimes I just sit around daydreaming about the magnificent creatures called horses all day!

I often have beautiful dreams about my favorite animal. I see amazing wild mustangs galloping through green grass absolutely free. Sometimes I'm the horse or I get to own one (sadly I do not own a horse in real life).

I ride twice a week and I love each lesson, when I grow up I don't mind what my job is but as long as it involves horses I would love it. I could be a horse vet horse riding teacher or a really good horse rider.

I like to read pippa funell books or the pony club secrets series(there really good!)I also like misty of chincoteague and black beauty most of my books are about horses. I actually like to write my own books ( there always about horses)and I wrote lots of scripts for my breyer horses.

I always want to learn more about horses and I just want to ask are horses really made into glue? My favorite breed of horse is the appaloosa I really admire there unique colors.

My obsession started when my dad signed me up for riding lessons I was so exited I was 8 then. Now I can walk trot and canter plus do some small jumps, I ride English. My room is filled with posters and magazines also I have horse pillows t-shirts and pajamas! I love to ride bareback its so much fun! After each of my lessons I go and feed to ponies in the stable!

This holiday I'm going to Spain and hopefully I'm going to ride some Spanish horses (andalusians, lipizzaner horses) in Andalusia, or at least somewhere in Spain.

If any of my friends have a question about horses they ask me. One day in school we were looking at a poem called the highwayman and he was mounted on a horse all I was concentrating on was the horse I tried to figure out which breed it was and then my best friend said I shouldn't do everything about horses(even though I want to!)

Horses are so special to me I would do anything for a horse of my own anything! So what's your favorite breed and color of horse mine is appaloosa and strawberry roan! And that is why I'm horse crazy !

My Horsey Life!!!

by Eden
(ON, Canada)

All of a sudden, I just decided that I wanted to start horse-back riding when I was 7. Then my Dad signed me up for a riding camp. I have loved it ever since! The staff are so friendly and have taught me SO much!!! I don't take lessons because I don't need to!

I went from learning how to get on a horse, to cantering across fields, and putting the saddle on and taking it off. And that was just from a few weeks of summer camp.

My favourite horse at the ranch is a cute quarter horse that is bay coloured. Her name is Mindac. She is blind in her right eye. But she is so cute and sweet and listens to all my commands when I am riding or leading her.

And that, my friends, is how I have a "horsey" life!

A Case of Horse Fever

by Alicia
(Missouri,USA)

I'm not sure. My grandpa was in the calvary and had a wild horse once. Maybe I got it from him. I've wanted a horse since I was 5. I just love everything about them! I don't have my own yet.

The other day I was out feeding my 60 meat rabbits, when I heard the horses near the fence. I grabbed my grooming bag and ran over there. All four of them where there! My favorite, a sorrel QH gelding was standing in a hollow right next to the fence. I climbed up the fence and got on bareback. I really was just going to sit there for a minute, when the boss mare started galloping away to the neighbor's house. Dakota started galloping to follow her with me still on his back. I'd never ridden bareback EVER and now he was running uphill and leaping over logs. I held on and when he ran by a small tree, I grabbed it and swung off. It was AWESOME!!!

(don't tell my mom!)

I am horse crazy because there is not a feeling to express it when I am riding a horse, or just near one. Whenever I have a bad day, and just in a bad mood. I go to the barn with my mom and dad and poof, just like that - my bad day, or mood is erased.

I LOVE my horses!!!

My horse Poco

My horse Poco

I have 3 horses. I lease one, own another, and I have another one that I share with my mom and grandma!
My horse that I OWN is a almost 2yr old Quarter Horse gelding, and his name is Poco's Promised King, but we call him Poco. :) We're not really sure what his color is though... And he has ABSOLUTELY NO white markings!! He just has little white specks every where in his coat!We think he might be some sort of roan, or maybe a gray. We also are considering bay, but it's not as likely. We'll just have to wait and see! He's SUPER CUTE and smart! Buuut, he also is a typical gelding, and gets himself into trouble sometimes... LOL :P (By the way, that pic at the top is me and Poco. He's only 1yr in that one, but as he's gotten older, he's gotten MORE white hairs on him. We're baffled on what his color's gonna be, so if you have any suggestions on what YOU think he's gonna be, please tell me!! I'd really appreciate it!! :D Oh, and here's one more thing, his legs have black stockings up past his hocks, and black rimmed/tipped ears, just like a bay... That adds more mystery to what he's gonna be. LOL)
The horse that I lease is an Arabian mare, and her name is Lacey! She's sorrel mare with a single sock on her left hind leg, and a star-stripe-snip on her baby-like face. She's petite ALL over and as sweet as a horse can get! I LOOOOOOVE her!!!
The horse that I share with my mom and grandma is a GORGEOUS palomino Quarter Horse mare who's named Isabelle, Izzy or Belle for short. She is probably one of the most beautiful Quarter Horses you have ever seen! She's SUPER sweet and friendly. She wants everyone to be her friend! :D I have 3 horses. I lease one, own another, and I have another one that I share with my mom and grandma!

I got MORE than I thought of ever getting

by Jami
(Sherwood Park, Alberta)

Ever since I was about seven years old (I'm thirteen now) I have been wanting riding lessons, a horse to lease or a horse to own. When I turned eleven I started to think my dreams would never come true. I spent all my time drawing horses, watching horse movies, reading books about horses and praying to God about at least getting riding lessons.

Finally when I was twelve years old a lady from my church invited me to go riding with her. I agreed and we spent the whole day on a trail ride loping up and down hills (yes she taught me how to lope before I knew how to jog!) and doing new things.

After that day was over I knew something was starting to happen with my horse dream. I started going out to her farm more often to help out and go riding. That continued for about six months when my parents told me she had a big surprise for me.

At church that morning she gave me a certificate for eight riding lessons (already paid for) at Good News Riding Center. I was stoked that I got that opportunity. When those eight weeks were up I had learned so many new things and I wanted to continue more then ever. So my parents agreed to let me continue my wonderful riding lessons.

At one point my parents couldn't afford them so I got a job at my stables that lets me get my regular riding lesson for free PLUS another lesson during the week. I have been continuing that for a very long time now and am now looking for a horse to lease.

See? Dreams do come true.

P.S. I am now doing competitions mostly in show jumping and cross country!

I love free riding, but i also enjoy lessons. When I go to camp in the summer my clothes always come back smelling like horses so I never want to wash them I just love the smell. My parents think it's funny though. I wish I could spend every second with a horse. I am saving up for a horse my parents said if i can save up 3,000 dollars they will find the money to board I just have to buy the horse! So far I have 100.31, and I am only about two months into it. This summer I have two summer jobs. Hopefully they will rake in about 500 dollars by the end of the summer. The way I get most of my money though is selling stuff on ebay. I am so excited my fav. breed is the gypsy vanner.

My horse that i usually show with is my Horse Jublee. She is a palomino. will jump anything that gets in front of her . She is my world i love her so much and everything. She defiantly gets a ribbon in the shows she love trail rides, and everything. She's probably bomb proof. I'm not planning on selling her cause she's the best and i don't know who would get rid of her. There are 13 horses at my barn that are mine but 10 of them board. if you want to know about me more then you already know

My very first horsey adventure

by Shariykah
(Virginia)

I was 12 when a young foal ran away from our stables. My horse Aztec and I went looking for him but sadly couldn't find him. So we went back.

The next night, my dad said we had to find him before a big storm hit. So me and Aztec, along with a few other friends, went searching for the young foal. We found him just before the storm hit and we decided to name him "Wanderer in the Storm" but nicknamed him "Storm."

I am 14 now and storm and I are great partners because sadly, Aztec had to be put down after getting injured in a jumping competition. Storm and I are the best of friends. I love him so much but Aztec will always be in my heart.

Me riding Copper

Me riding Copper

Hi I'm Keeley and completely horse mad I've never had or owned my own horse, I help down at a yard near me with my aurnties haflinger cob Saffron she is a 14hh mare and a right sweaty.

I love horses and ponies with a pation I don't stop talking about them my friends are always like shut up about horses, but I can't help it lol.

I have a lot of mates who have horses or are interested in them, I love horses because they're so beautiful and amazing creatures that are gawjus to ride, I've been riding for just over 2 years now and I came 3rd in my last show out of 18 people altogether.

I've rode on all sort of different horses and ponies and enjoyed every second of it I'm not much of hacking person I love to go in the school.
Horses and ponies mean the world to me and I've been wanting my own since I was about 4, I'm now 13.

I've loved horses nearly all my life because they're the most gawjus animals ever they're fur coat is so shiny in the sun and I hate it when my parents say you don't want a horse they're to much money to look after and you don't understand how much it will be. But I do understand.

I've been involved in about 6 horses in my life non of them were mine they were my mates or my aunties and I hate being parted from them for a different horse but its life.

I go to the stables every weekend but sometimes my auntie doesn't pick me up I haven't rode for about 6-7 months now and its killing me. I know will get a horse one day my childhood has been really hard for me I might be started.

Thanks for reading my story riding again with my mates next door neighbor when she is back of her holidays. I'm just so horse mad.

So I said I wanted horse back riding lessons. Then when I got on a horse it felt so good it felt that I was meant to ride horses. That is how I started to love horses.

Horsecrazy Dreamer

by Beth
(Houston, Texas, USA)

The Kind Of Horse I Want

The Kind Of Horse I Want

I grew up as a city-country girl, who was a western Texan, but lived in Houston, one of the biggest cities in the US. I went pony-riding whenever I could.

I loved the way horses were high-maintenance and beautiful. I wanted one as soon as I saw one. I realized that pony riding wasn't very fun as I got older. It was too short. One summer, we took a trip to Tennessee. I got to ride horses through the woods on a trail.

I realized I loved the way horses move. I realized I really DO want one, not just in the way that 6-year-old's do, but really, really want one! I never have had one, and probably never will until I grow up, move away, and buy one myself, no doubt I'll live in the country.

I'm a horsecrazy, horsedreaming gal and have a very horsey life to look forward too.

Who wouldn't love a horse!?!

by Elizabeth
(El cajon,CA,USA)

Well let's see here... I love horses because they are the most beautiful majestic animals I have ever encountered that not only bond with you, but give you many reasons to love them.

A few of the many reasons are that you can ride them, and have lots of fun adventures. From Trail riding to jumping there is always something you can do. Another reason;you can hang out and tell you horse every secret or something that is upsetting you, your horse will know-they can sense body language.

In real life I do not own a horse but I lease,I hope someday I can create a bond a really tight bond with my horse. That is my dream with horses,it's not about the fancy saddles or bridles or even the riding, its about having a strong bond that will hold us together in rough times of either sorrow or times where we are as happy as can be!

That's why I love horses... just a few reasons, trust me there are many more reasons why.^_^

Well I have 3 horses in my backyard and one is Misty white female with blue eyes and her foal is general a 2 year old white and brown horse that can't seem to get the message that he has to stop drinking mom's milk after 2 months XD.

I also have Daisy, my white brown eyed mare who is gonna give birth soon, and she's blind. She always gets the left overs from the rest but I try my best to feed mostly her since the rest always take her food.

I love all 3 of them even if general is a little trouble maker. I have spent time with them day after day for almost 3 years now. I have also been drawing horses for about a year now so I love horses and everything about them!

That's just a few reasons why I'm horse crazy!

My Top Three Horsey Experiences

by Gianna
(U.S.A.)

1. BELMONT STAKES BABY! I just went this Saturday June, 11. I got an awesome view and almost touched Animal Kingdom... I didn't because the security wouldn't let me... lol... I got my picture taken next to Secretariat's picture... It was amazing. When Shackleford cut to the lead, I was 10 feet away from him. It was the most exhilarating feeling I have ever felt in my entire life. I felt the hoof beats come right through me and pound in my chest. It was amazing...

2. MY FIRST BLUE RIBBON! I used to ride western and when I was little I always dreamed of a blue ribbon. I always told my dad, when they call who won... check my number! One day he did just that and I had won my very first blue ribbon! I was six years old. On that same day I won three first place and a third against girls that were 13 years old.

3. BAREBACK! The first time I rode bareback was (very oddly and I don't know why it took so long!)about a year ago. I was a bit scared but after 15 minutes I was jumping two, six bareback! It was so much fun.

So, my top ten horsey moments were amazing and I enjoyed sharing them. I also love to draw, read, and ride horses! lol! Thanks for reading!

Horses are my passion!

by Haley
(Picayune, USA)

This if one of the most beautiful horses that I haveever seen!!!

This if one of the most beautiful horses that I haveever seen!!!

The first time I road a horse was when I was only 1. Then my mom got a beautiful paint buckskin named kody. We got a horse for me for my 9th birthday, an 18 year old quarter horse named molly.

I then had to eventually get rid of her because I grew out of her. I was really sad so I had to stick with kody and an old racehorse named salter; who is a clumsy thing. But then mom said she would get another horse named socks but I disliked the name so I named him brees!

Then mom got rid of kody and things got sad again. But then she got a Tennessee walker name midnight velvet but her real name is storm. She was too much for mom so she gave her to me so she could get a beautiful bucksin filly name daisy....

But brees is the best horse in the world .....Oh yeah, mom knows like barrel racing so she got me another quarter horse named jozie but now we have to give her back but it is ok because mom said that we could breed storm to a white stud and get a foal!!!!!

I AM SO EXCITED!!!!!!!!!!!!

Me and Beauty

Me and Beauty

I have always been horse/pony crazy I think I was just born that way. My dad's side of the family love horses (Plus I more like my dad)

I started to ride when I was 6 years old. I loved it now I've been riding for 6 years and I don't care when I fall off because after a while you get used to it!

My first pony was a 12.2hh bay mare called Minta. Even though I had her on loan.

She was great but after a while she buck me off or kicked me. So I had stop riding her. But then we got a new pony on loan a year later.

I was nine then but the pony I was loaning was 14.2hh black mare called Poppy she was a gentle giant. Apart from when she stood on my toe!

But sadly on the 22nd February 2004 we were getting her in from the field when another horse attacked her. All I can remember was screaming her name seeing her running off with her leg bleeding badly. I was worried about her I was mad with the horse that attacked her they put her down.

The worst part was I never got to stroke her goodbye that day. Plus my sister was going to have her first ever lesson on that day it was her birthday present that lesson and it was 3 days before her birthday. She didn't have much luck. As on her birthday our great nan died to.

Then in 2006 for a Christmas present we got a 6 month old dun foal called Beauty. But that didn't turn out right either we had to sell as we didn't have enough money we sold her to my friends mum who we loaned Minta off she said she wouldn't sell for us but a week later I looked at this horse site and found her on there for sale!

We couldn't believe it. It took some time for me to get used it. I knew I would never see her again but that happens in life.

But now my parents have decided that next year we will find a pony to rehome from a charity as we can't afford to buy one.

Forever Horse Crazy!!!! :D

by Erin
(Vanzant, Mo, United States)

Magic and Flicka when I first got them!

Magic and Flicka when I first got them!

I have ALWAYS dreamed of having my own horse. In October 2010 me, my mom, and brother went down to a horse farm about 5 miles up the dirt road that my mom used to work at. The farm was ALL horses, horses, and MORE horses!

So, we looked around for a while in the barn and in the fields. Finally I found a round pin with a paint mare and her paint foal in there. I was soooo excited! They were absolutely BEAUTIFUL!!!! But they were sick.

Anyway, the farm manager, who is still to this day good friends with my mom and step dad, talked the owner into letting me have the two rescue paint horses. But I didn't know.

So, that day when my mom was at work, my step dad took me and my brother to town to pick up a few things. Giving the manager enough time to drop the horses off in one of our corrals. By the time we got back from town, there were the two paints in one of the corrals waiting for me! And it was my birthday!

I have never had a better birthday in my life! So, now, I still have the two paints who I named, the mare, "Magic" and the foal, "Flicka." Now I even have more horses here, too!

EVERYTHING IS HORSE IN MY WORLD!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

by Horsey Girl

I am sooooooo horse crazy, why? Well, I started visiting my grand parents on their ranch when I was 9 or 10,one winter,(I was 11 years old)was when I met my BHPFL(best horse pal for life)Moon Dancer,he was 3 then, and he was scared of buckets, so I had to feed him by hand, and after that I realised that he was totaly, my life long buddy. I'd stand in his stall(standing stall)with him. He'd nuzzle me,and rub his face on me, and lick my hand. His favorit spot to be rubed is just under his eye, I'd rub him there, and every couple seconds he'd turn his head and I'd do the other side. Now he's 4, and he's matured soooo much. When my grandpa told me they were training him and that I could help,by ridding him, I was the happiest I'd ever been in my life!!!! I stayed there for a week in the summer to help out, it was the best week ever!!!!!! Unfortunatly, he lives 2 and a half-3 hours away, so I don't get to visit very often, but when I do, he's always the cleanest horse there, ofcourse he's always the most beautiful. He's a Thoroughbred/Quarter Horse palamino gelding, 4 years old, and about 15 hands high, he lives in a big feild with about 6 other horses. One day I plan on owning him.

My fondest time with him was this: We were standing in the sun together,my hand was on one of his cheeks and my cheek on the other(we were both facing the same way) and he'd rest his head on my shoulder. He's soooooo sweet, gentle andhe loves to cuddle. We share a special bond that will last a life time.
THANX 4 READING MY HORSE CRAZY PAGE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

P.S. I am soooooo horse crazy,my room is all horse.I take horse back ridding lessons in my home town, and a good percent of the things I own have to do with HORSES!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Foal whose mother was killed and the rescue center took in.

There is a place about three hours from my house in Spain where horses who have been abused or abandoned live. Most of the horses would never find a home anywhere else without the centers help. We go up there once a month. We raise money for them and get as many volunteers as we can get. Then we set off. Once we are there we help out.

My brother, my friends and I do stuff like: walk the horses, clean the horses, brush the horses, clean and play in the hay, and help prepare for lunch.

My dad, mom, and the other volunteers do stuff like: mucking out stalls (cleaning out stalls) fixing things, feeding the horses, clipping the horses hooves, and alot more. They don't only rescue horses, there are rescue dogs, cats, and birds. One time they had an iquana. At the end of the day we eat at TGI Fridays in Malaga. The horse rescue center is alot of fun!!!

My first pony was a disaster! Jewel Fabio (show name) is a strawberry roan shetland who was previously
mis-treated. She was a broodmare before we bought her... well my mum's friend bought her for me for my 3rd birthday. The first time I rode her was the first time I ever rode and it didn't go well! Jewel started bucking and I fell off!

Now 7 1/2 years later I own Heidi, an Irish Sports Horse from Belgium, schooled by Georgia Burns, rode by Oliver Townsend and owned by top Scottish rider Gemma Kirk! Heidi has taught me how to jump, canter and my first gallop! Next year i hope to take her to some shows!

My friend Mhairi and I both ride and we love to go hacks at Croy Hill because we can see some of the Antonine wall!

Everything Horsey is Amazing!

I think that everything is amazing about horses. They all have different personalities(some cheeky, some intelligent, etc.) and capabilities.

Take, for instance, a thoroughbred. Built for racing, they can have strong and rough temperments. Whereas shire horses are sweet gentle giants.

I have rode about 4 really cheeky ponies for my riding lessons, and even though they were tough to ride, they all taught me different things.:) Like falling off on your bottom can hurt sometimes(lol!) and to ride a jump, you need to take it slowly, and not race at it. Like the saying, 'Even the greenest horse has something to teach the wisest rider.' I think that saying is really special and true.

Whenever i go to see a horse or pony, i do feel a litle scared around them sometimes, because they are unpredictable and strong. It seems that when i'm with a horse, they don't really seem to like me, and only want their owners, but sometimes it seems as if we just click. I find this feeling is like the BEST horsey feeling a horsey person can get!

I really hope to have a horse someday, because i love them SO much, and feel i am the world's B I G G E S T horse-lover!

Lots of horsey wishes,
Cocopony!

I LOVE HORSES SSSSSOOOOOO MUCH

(Plaistow)

This is me and my pony tony at finals last year

This is me and my pony tony at finals last year

I love horses and my parent's own their own barn. We have 15 horses of our own, and 7 borders. My mom gives lessons and another trainer who works at the barn who is a fantastic rider gives lessons too. I love all of my horses but the one that i love the best is my pony tony.

I do hunter/jumper. I show alot this year i am doing the Children's Hunter which is 2'3" to 2'6"
I love to jump soo much it's my favorite thing in the world. I ride my horses every day except for Monday when the barn is closed.

People think that riding is really easy but its really not. Once you get on a horse that is bad you'll realize that its not that easy and that anything can happen. Even if you think that the horse can't be bad they always can. I have been riding for 8 years and i love it, I have been showing for about 3 years.

I love to be at the barn with all of my friends and riding together. I love cantering around bareback its so fun. At my barn we have a huge indoor ring and outdoor ring. I love to go on walks after a long ride and just chill out on my horses.

Horse crazy Ella!

by Ella
(Toronto, Ontario, Canada)

My name is Ella, and as long as I can remember I have LOVED horses. I can remember the first time I rode. I was no older then 3, when I started loving them. I insisted to my mother that I had to have my birthday party at a stable (or at least some where that had horses!) So I had it at a petting zoo. And of course it had a barn full of horses.

Now since I was the birthday girl got to choose my pony first! I walked up to a pretty little 9hh bay shetland pony gelding called Sunny. When I touched him I felt all warm and cozy inside.

When I moved ( I used to live in England) I couldn't wait to see what beautiful horses I would meet! When I went to see my great, great, uncle and aunt who own a horse farm I met the most beautiful, heavenly, graceful, gentle, the most biggest horse I had ever seen in my life!

His name is Jessie, a beautiful 17hh bay 20 year old retired race horse thoroughbred gelding.
I spent the hole day patting him and giving him treats. And he spent the hole day nuzzling my head!

When I turned 8 I got riding lessons for my birthday! I was SOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO excited!!!!!!!!!!!!!! When it was the day it felt like my birth day and Christmas rolled in to one!!!!!

I loved having them but they where over before I knew it! I was REALLY sad and would miss Duddley (my 18 year old 13hh grey welsh riding school pony). I soon had riding lessons at a new stable. I know ride a 15hh chestnut 20 year old quarter horse called Charlie.

Now 2 years later I see that Jessie is my best friend, Charlie is the perfect pony for me, and my love of horses will never go away!

My Story

by Jessie

I have always been attracted to the most beautiful creatures on earth, which of course are horses.

Other people say they are mean and so and so because their sibling or they have fallen off of one, but you don't know that. I have fallen off, but I am driven to get back on the horse and try to do the jump over again!

I love horses and I always will. Just a week ago I fell off my horse into the jump, but I knew that I was made to try again and again. It just makes me feel so much better about myself when i am up on a horse. This is what I was sent to do ....JUMP.

Jumping is the most extraordinary thing I have ever done, with the seconds feeling like you are flying. It is just amazing!

My horse Storm

by Rebekah
(New Zealand)

Loving horses runs in my blood, despite the fact that my dad hates animals especially horses! i ca'nt believe it either.

We used to own a horse called Storm. He was a standardbred and he used to be a pacer. Then he went to the Gore R.D.A and they passed him on to a farmer. The farmer abandoned him. My older sisters friend found him and we adopted him. He lived with us until he was 30 and then we had to put him down.

My entire family (my mums side) and my step Granddad (i don't mean to boast but my step granddad is Dusty Spittle, one of the best country music players in NZ) all love horses but i am pretty much the only one who rides anymore.

Horses are my life and my passion and always will be!I am going to be a vet when I grow up because I love all animals (mainly horses)

My mom and dad are both trainers along with two other people at our barn. I have a new young dutch warmblood mare who loves to jump her showname is Sun Kissed. Her barn name is Daisy.
