Tom - Part 1 (REWRITE)

Someone said I should do a rewrite and I am doing it. Post a comment if you want part 2.
--------------------------

I decided to find my little brother, Max. It was time for his lessons. He loves his lessons, it's even better on him when he rides his horse Snowy Dream, Snowy for short.

"MMMMMMMMaaaaaaaaaaaxxxxxxxxxxx!" I yelled.

I looked to the right and heard a clip-clop sound. There it was Max on Snowy (bareback) and even worse Snowy was galloping at full speed. "Stop Snowy" I yelled at him. He slowly pulled on the reins. I helped him down. I gave Max the lead rope. I heard a nicker. I ran into the barn. Tom was up and ready for his training session. I gave Tom his mash and while he was eating that I would give Max his lesson. I went back out the door and brought Snowy to the outside of her stall.

"You get that cross tie and clip it on Snowy's halter and I'm going to do this one." I said as I clipped on the cross tie.

I walked to Snowy's stall and lifted the grooming supplies in a bag of the hook. I set it on the floor.

"You groom her body and I will comb the mane and tail." I said.

Max is always shy when I give him lessons. I dug through the bag. I finally found the comb. I ran my finger down Snowy's side so she knew I was going to her back side.

I slowly move down Snowy's tail combing it. I saw Max was ready for tacking because he put the comb in the bag. I fully tacked Snowy and started the lesson. After the lesson, Tom was ready for his first lesson...

Sorry, I can't but put more detail in this because when I am on the computer and my sister and brother are watching t.v. I can't concentrate. PLEASE FORGIVE ME EVEN THOUGH THIS IS A REWRITE.

Tom - Part 3 (PREVIEW!)

Thanks for all the nice comments! Comment if you want part 4 or a rewrite. Maybe a few more parts and I will be done.
----------------------------------------------------------
I was shocked. There was a butterfly in my stomach that made me hesitant to answer. I just got my new horse and April has to ruin it. I am not going to take care of April's responsibilities.

My mom stepped in and began talking. "I know you don't want to give up Tom, even though it is a short period of time. April ran to me when I was washing dishes. I guess she was excited about having a new horse in the barn and wanted to have a chance with it." "I am never going to give up Tom." I said as I pulled Tom's head closer to mine.

"I want to have a new horse because you have one sissy." April said. "Not everyone can get what they want!" I shouted at my sister. My sister ran away crying and laying her head in her hands.
I was so sorry. I didn't want to hurt her feelings. My mom ran after her. "It's OK, you don't have to cry. I will get you a new horse too". Mom spoils her too much. I hopped down from the mounting block.

Tom - Part 1

You remember my story Magic, well, nobody commented when I asked if they wanted me to write Tom stories. I guess I will write anyway. Comment if you want part 2. I will do a rewrite if you want me to.
******************

I guess I would have to let Tom fall asleep besides, he had a long day in the trailer. I decided to give my brother Max a lesson. He is still a beginner rider. He rides a Welsh Pony named Snowy Dream, Snowy for short. I walked through the gate of the pasture where my brother was running with the other horses.

"Max, time for your lesson" I called out as I closed the gate. Max bolted at me like Magic did when I got him out of the pasture. When Max was through the gate. I walked with him to his pony's stall. I grabbed the halter off the rack on Snowy's stall. I unlatched the door and put the halter on her face.

I gave Max the lead rope and. Soon, Max clipped the cross ties on Snowy's halter. I went to the tack room searched for a tag that said Snowy on it. There were like 20 labels. Most of them were my little brothers and sisters. I finally found a label that said Snowy. I found a saddle, a bridle and a saddle pad that belonged to Snowy. I grabbed the bag of her grooming supplies too.

"Before you ride you have to groom" I told Max. I combed Snowy's mane and tail. Max groomed Snowy's snow white coat. After we cleaned Snowy we tacked her. Snowy was so short Max himself could put the saddle pad on her. I tacked Snowy fully with a saddle and a bridle. I took the reins from around the neck and swung it over his head. I gave Max the reins.

"OK you walk to the indoor arena and mount Snowy while I go get Snowy some treats. I walked in the lounge. I walked through the lounge living room where my dad was watching the t.v. I walked in front of my dad and walked in the kitchen and stuck my hand in the treat bag. I took some treats out of the bag and walked out the door. Max was mounted and settled in the saddle. I gave Max a lesson.

After the lesson, I gave Max the treats and told him to feed those to Snowy. I checked up on Tom after I gave Max the treats. He was still sleeping. I walked to the tack room and changed the label on the saddle rack from Magic to Tom.

Tom - Part 4

Please comment for part 5 or a rewrite.
----------------------------------------

April busted through the door all excited. A trailer was parked outside the barn. A horse was waiting to enter the barn. The door opened slowly. Mom with a lead rope in her hand and the other one holding the door. In stepped a horse. An Appaloosa gelding. April ran and held out her hands. She bumped into Mom and wrapped her arms around Mom.

After, my mom was set and the horse in the stall. April was sitting on a square of hay, writing in her notebook:

Yay! Yay! Yay! I finally got a new horse. But, I can't decide on a name. I made a list and I will decide later.

*Pretty
*Sunshine
*Angel II

Please help me decide I can't.

The horse stretched out it's neck and tried to nip the square of hay April was sitting on. "A hah!" April shouted. She ran down the row of stalls and pushed the door open. She looked to the right and left. She walked to the left and swatted and held out her hands to reach a dandelion.

She picked dozens of them. She ran back down the row of stalls and held out the dandelions to her new horse. The horse slowly reached out to nip it. Max came in the door and stared at the new horse standing in the stall. "Is this your horse?" Max asked. "Yup!" April said proudly. "Why do you have a another horse?" Max asked. "Cause I wanted one." April said.

Tom (THE REST OF PART 3!)

Please comment for part 4. I LOVE GETTING COMMENTS!!!!!!!!!
-----------------------

I led Tom back to his new stall.

"I guess I will have you away for awhile." I sighed. "April gets whatever she wants-even when it's getting a new horse" I said angrily.

I untacked Tom and slowly walked to the tack room thinking about Tom. I checked if Angel's tack was in the tack room. It was. I smiled when suddenly, My sister Emily walked in.

"You want to give me a lesson?" my sister said nicely. "Sure, at least you're not April." I said.

"What did April do? She wanted a new horse because I got Tom. Now, she wants to have Tom for a month and I get Angel." I said.

"Just give me a lesson." She said in a bored way.

"OK." I said nicely, "just give me a sec."

I rushed over to Tom where he was standing patiently in the cross ties. I unclipped both cross ties and opened the stall door. I stepped in and pulled off Tom's halter. He rushed to the food bucket where there was nothing there. I walked out of the stall. Came back in carrying bags full of juicy carrots. Tom headed toward me excited to get the carrots. I pushed him back as I walked toward the the food bucket in the corner.

Once I dumped the carrots in the bucket, I got ready for Emily's lesson with her horse, Sadie an Appaloosa mare who is a western style horse. I gathered Sadie's tack and walked over to my house. I walked in and reminded her about her lesson. I walked back to the barn, Emily trailing behind me.

"Get Sadie out of her stall and put her in the cross ties." I said, "and get started on grooming her and I will be back in a minute." I said as I opened the barn door. I checked on Tom and he was finished with his carrots and ready to go to sleep. I went back to Emily and helped her finish groom Sadie.

When we finished, I helped Emily tack Sadie. Since, she is shorter than me I have to put on the saddle but, she is old enough to put on the bridle. I told her a long time ago, she can't carry the saddle. She can do it now though. She dropped the saddle in my hands and I lifted it on Sadie's back. Once, Sadie was all tacked up, she was ready for her lesson. Emily can do walk and trot. I am still trying to find the right time to teach her to canter.

I swung the reins over Sadie's back and let Emily lead her. We did a little bit walk. "Are you ready to begin to trot" I said patiently. Emily nodded her head.

"OK, give her a little kick".

Emily kicked at Sadie's sides gently. Sadie began to trot. After a while, Emily got bored and asked me, "Can we stop now?"

"Of course we can."

"Bring her over here and step off." I said as I pointed at the mounting block. I helped Sadie get off her tack and put everything away. As, I headed over to the barn door, I saw a new name tag on a stall and noticed that it said the owner said April...

Tom - Part 5 (THE GRAND FINALE!!!)

by ranchgirl

After this I will start a new story!
*************************************

Max was surprised to finally see April without a pony.

"Who will take care of Angel?" I asked. "I don't know." April answered. April kept writing in her journal. "Got it! I finally have a name for my new horse."

April made a nametag that read:
Name: CHARLIE
Age: 12
Owner: April

Charlie seemed like a good name but, it kind of didn't fit for a Appaloosa. I rushed back to Tom to see what he was doing. He was laying down patiently. I entered the stall and sat down next to him. I patted his back. I came up with an idea. I walked back out the stall and went around the corner to the lounge.

I opened the refrigerator and picked out the food items that were for Tom. When I walked out the door. April at the same time came in to get her food for her horses. Tom nickered when he heard the rustling of the plastic bag in my hand. I fed Tom and helped all my little brothers and sisters feed their horses. We walked together back to the house hungry for dinner.

Mom had just finished setting the table. We sat down and enjoyed the steak. "Sissy" April said talking to me"You can have Angel". "Thank you" I said nicely. We cleaned off the table at the end of dinner.

Once, we were all ready for bed I lay in bed with the covers over my horse pajamas. My mom came in my room. "Good night, honey." My mom kissed me good night. I fell asleep thinking about Tom and all the other horses. Now, everybody was happy with what they have and that will never be forgotten.

THE END

Tom - Part 2

Thanks for commenting on the last part. Please comment if you want part 3 or a rewrite. I hope you like it.
----------------------------------------------------------
I am ssssssssoooooooo excited to give Tom a lesson. When I peeked into Tom's stall he was sleeping like a baby. When I opened the door, Tom woke up. The Paint Beauty slowly stood up. I grabbed his new halter I bought before Tom arrived. It was red with Tom's name in cursive. When I put Tom's halter on, a horse kicked at his door. Tom came out of his stall. I thought he was ready for jumping. I lead him to the hall of the stables and clipped the cross ties to his halter. I grabbed some hay out of the empty stall and put it on the floor in front of Tom.

I walked to the tack room and grabbed the saddle that was on the stand of Tom's rack. I walked back to Tom and saddled him and bridled him. Now, he was ready for his lesson.

I walked him to the arena and brought him to the mounting block. I put my right foot in the stir up and slowly settled in his saddle. I walked him around the arena at walk for five minutes. I kicked my foot at his side gently. He began at trot smoothly. I kicked once more and he began to canter. I lead him closer to the jump. He jumped the pole smoothly and didn't knock it over!

I am so proud of him. I heard footsteps coming to the door. They opened the owner and it startled Tom and he didn't even buck once! I jumped over poles a few more times. I lead him back to the mounting block and swung my leg over the saddle. I stepped down from the mounting block and grabbed Tom's reins and patted him on the neck. "You are a good boy, Tom" I said proudly. "And NOTHING can get in the way of that. My sister rushed in. "Mom said I can have Tom for a week" my sister, April began. "I will ride him and you will Angel". I was sssooooo surprised.
