Books about horses are the best. They allow us horse crazy girls to live out our horse dreams, learn about horses, find out about different horse disciplines and training methods, go on horse filled adventures, and more. Luckily, there are tons of different books out there for whatever you want.

A Horse for Mandy is a great horse book. The story is focused on a girl named Mandy who dreams about owning a horse of her own. As a surprise her parents get her a horse for her birthday. Mandy is so excited to finally have a horse of her own, but when her friend starts to become jealous of Mandy her excitement is dampened. This book does a great job of exploring friendship, jealousy, and how we navigate different parts of our lives.

Appaloosa Summer tells the story of a horse crazy teenager who has an amazing life and an incredible horse. But everything changes when her beloved horse passes away.
