High Hurdles

High Hurdles is a series of ten books. The first books is entitled Olympic Dreams.

Olympic Dreams:

It tells about a girl named DJ who works at a stable and has always wanted to jump in the Olympics but there's just two problems... 1. she doesn't know how to jump and 2. she doesn't have a horse.

It's a really great book!

I'm pretty sure these are my favorite book series along with Winnie the horse gentler, The Golden Filly, the Princess and the Foal, and a bunch of other books. (I read A LOT. Like a LOT.)

Lauraine Snelling is my favorite author. I wish she wrote more of these.I have the first collection and I'm working on getting the 2nd. (Our library closed

I LOVE these books! I own all 10 of them! In the last one though when DJ is hands get burnt and she rescued the horses from the barn fire. you could TOTALLY see it coming! They are so good! Now that I am 12 I don't like the saddle club and pony pals anymore. I also love her other horse series the golden filly! Not as much though. Awesome books!

yes, i love this book. it has inspired me to start to jump my horse, my dream is to compete in jumping. I only have a couple of books in this sees. plan to get more.

Best book ever my all time favorite.
DJ is a lot like me and I like how the book is realistic like (there really is a Briones out there in CA and a Briones horse center on the Briones park) it's so cool and they talk about food places like taco bell. Too bad DJ isn't real though that would be awesome I want to be her friend so bad but she isn't real and if she was anyway she would be like in her 30s not early teens like in the book since it was made in late 1996
And it's November 2011 now. Next I'm on to read "what about cimmaron"another book by Lauraine Snelling.

I love these series. D.J sometimes loses her temper but she always makes up for it. And It has LOTS of horses!

This series is OK

I like this series, but not as much as I like Canterwood Crest or Heartland. I think D.J has sort of a bad attitude and that the writer could have made her a little more of an interesting character. But overall this book IS about the most important topic in the world...HORSES so I think it's OK.

We must be long lost twins I feel like I lose my temper all the time I want to spend all my time with animals and i luv to draw just like Deej. I luv the nickname her dad gave her and her father's horse ranch sounds like a dream come true. its amazing how God can work through a book to help us realize a little about ourselves.I feel like DJ is based on me I have so many of the same likes, dislikes, and challenges as she does. I'm glad that through this book I could hear a little about you thanks for listening Christina.

Christina I agree with you. this book is amazing I posted it on here because I know it's a great book and I've been inspired by it. I've read the book 3 times! and I've read the series once. it's such a good series! I would recommend it to any horse lover.

Me and my sister Ashley love these books! They are amazing! Alot of times I find myself feeling just like DJ. I go through alot of her problems in my own life. THESE BOOKS INSPIRE ME SO MUCH! Because no matter what DJ goes through she still trusts God to see her through. That is one of the most important lessons I've learned from these books. I know no matter what happens in my life I know God will help me get through it. These books also teach me to follow my dreams, because no matter what DJ never gives up on her dream to become an Olympic rider.

My friend Chandler told me about this book. She loves it. But I didn't have the title right and couldn't find it. I am going to get it right away!!

I can't wait till the 2008 Olympics Equestrian events!
