A Good Horse is Never a Bad Color is a wonder horse book written by the great horse trainer Mark Rashid. In the book you are taken through all the aspects of taking care of, owning, and riding horses. Unlike some books that are dry and just stick to facts this one has personal stories throughout to keep your attention. I love how fun and personable this book is while giving good information.

Canterwood Crest was one of my favorite horse book series for a long time. I was in love with the idea of going to an academy like Sasha did where horseback riding is an important part of life. In the book Sasha and her horse Charm get accepted at an exclusive riding academy/boarding school. It is here that she develops her riding skills and makes lifelong friends. But it isn't always smooth sailing, especially when she rides better than some of the other girls.
