I actually put Flicka and My Friend Flicka both on this list, but honestly how could I not. This version of Flicka with Tim McGraw and Alison Lohman is so well know that it has become a classic in my opinion. The movie follows a young woman who is determined to show her father she is capable of being in charge of the family ranch. So when a mustang is brought to the ranch who is thought to be untamable Katy decides to prove to everyone that she can ride the mare. As she and Flicka grow closer and their bond deepens Katy begins to learn more about herself and her relationships with her family.

Ken has been struggling lately, but when he gets the chance to pick a foal and train it things seem like they are starting to turn around. Together Ken and Flicka begin to build a bond that will help both of them through their lives.
