Rainbow Iguana 2019

Rainbow Iguana 2019

Howdy people ;)

I've been working tiredly on these two pieces. I finished them a while ago and thought I would finally post them. I have for you girls and boys (apparently which is cool) an Iguana. Ssome of you might not know what an iguana is and others could live where they roam lose but I suddenly fell in love with these mystical dinosaur creatures, they are the neatest thing I've ever seen.

Couple days after I drew this rainbow iguana, me and my family thought "hey, why don't we adopt a juvenile iguana of our own". Hhe is an aqua blue iguana and his name is Mr. Beloney blue. He's the cutest lizard I've ever owned and is very spoiled, lol.

Second I have a wonderful scarlet macaw which I've also wanted one for sometime now, lol (Is there an animal I don't want?). This piece actually got more likes than the iguana and the most hits I've ever gotten even on some of my realistic horses I've put on here. It reached 395 likes on Facebook, that's like all my horses put together, lol. I was overly excited to watch that picture explode with likes, I swear a like a minute it was pretty cool just to tell ya the iguana got 360 likes in two days so I can't complain ;)

I am proud of both pictures. They're both in Oil base colored pencil with titanium white powder and pencil.

PLZ comment below, tell me what you think. I love to hear your opinion.

Thank you!

Abdul Adheem

12/12-13/2018

I'm so very sorry about the long wait, things have came up in the past year and drawing just moved from my view of missions for a little while. Finally, I think that this horrible case of artist block has moved on, a very realistic piece I am posting. I used AS ALWAYS oil/wax base color pencil, titanium white powder and color pencil blender on original white computer paper.

His name is Abdul Adheem which is an Arabian meaning for "servant of most great" I thought it fit him pretty well, I really want to hear your opinion and at this link is my artwork FB page https://www.facebook.com/2018horseandhumanart/ which you can enjoy my piece there too (OF course ask your parents first), I WILL also try to get to hoofbeat quest horses again. I know how much you all love them and I really enjoyed drawing them I just needed a break on the cartoon for a minute and draw something more realistic.

I will also be posting my annual Christmas horse real soon along with much more, hopefully lol. Feel free to comment as usual down below ;)

9 gaining is actually a very simple drawing (TO ME, LOL). It's a picture I gotten off of Facebook from a photographer, "Jeffrey Perkins" (www.racinghorseart.pixels.com)

I done it a while ago but never had the chance to post it since I kinda lost it on our computer and barely found it again, lol! But here it is... feel free to comment!

Step (first time at soft pastel pencils)

It's finished! "Step" is all the way 100% done laminated and hanging up with all the other pieces I have done.

It was a real fun drawing since I have never worked with Soft Pastel pencils before. I really enjoyed their texture though at times it was hard to keep them sharp. A little bit more time-consuming sharpening them with a hobby knife than other pencils I have used. But I'm very happy with it!

I call Him "Black Cloud Dust"

Black Cloud Dust

Black Cloud Dust

As you probably already know, Clydesdales are my favorite but I also love the Akhal-teke breed. I love their long lengthy bodies, their long strong necks and their beautiful coloring.

This Akhal-teke is a Black Blanket Appaloosa running on top of the clouds. It's kinda a dark drawing and that is how he got his name ;)

This is a freehand. There were no references used.

Feel free to comment! And hey, if you have an idea let me know :D

Step By Step Friesian

by Aspen

#1

This is more of an accurate step by step drawing. Actually there is like 31 pieces to this drawing step by step wise but I can only post 4 pictures so most of it is cut off to beginning to last.

I've posted this piece before but never the step by step pictures. There's a video at my FB page that shows all 31 pictures. ;)

I hope I helped with your drawing skills!

Thank you...

Comment below and tell me what you think ;)

1: First off the top, draw your outlined horse. I used graphite transfer paper ;) Slowly add Black, blue Black and of course more blue

2: Once the muzzle is finished move along UP the face and again I used black and blue and titanium white for highlights

3: Now I used more white but since it's SOOOOO black the white colored pencil went grey which helped out a lot with the cheek as you can see.... I used colored pencil blender to take off the rough edges ;)

4: of course a lot is missing with this step by step drawing, almost more then half of it is gone, BUT I think I have the basics for drawing......
finishing the beautiful drawing with Brown and of course the smeared background to make it more realistic...
