Totally Horse Mad

This series is about a girl called Ashley, she loves horses but unfortunately does not own one until she moves to the country and finds an abandoned horse that her parents agree to let her keep so long as she pays for everything. It's all about the adventures of Ashley her horse Honey and her best friend Becky and her horse Charlie.

The first book is called Totally Horse Mad, #2 is Horse Mad Summer, #3 is Horse Mad Academy, #4 is Horse Mad Heroes, #5 is Horse Mad Western and #6 is called Horse Mad Heights.

You've just got to read them they are so good!!!

I LOVE this series. it so so so so awesome!! I have read all the bOoks twice and my fave is horse mad heights!! I recommend this series to anyone who is looking for a good book to read. 5/5!!! Btw it is ashleigh not ashley :D

Nice but error-filled

I've managed to read #3 (Horse Mad Academy) and #6 (Horse Mad Heights). Unless it's just Helidoniotis' poor descriptions, it seems that she thinks an oxer is a single fence, rather than two verticals set closely together so the horse jumps them as one wide jump.
She also seems to think a triple bar is a fence with three poles on it, rather than (again) a wide set of three pairs of standards.

I've also yet to hear a jumping instructor to tell me to lean forward and raise my hands while going over a jump. Two point and release, certainly, but not lean and raise my hands.

Jumping is clearly not this author's forte. Nor much horse riding and safety, either, seeing as Ashleigh tied up her horse via the bridle and reins (admittedly, with twine, but still). She also seemed to have trouble with spaces, simple editing stuff that her editor should have (but didn't) pick up on.

Nice if you're starved for horse material to read, but utter awfulness otherwise. Please don't take lessons from these books on how to ride! :P

The best series ever!

Hi everyone! I think that the horse mad series is the best series in the WORLD! I own books 1-7 and have read them 5 times over! Ashleigh is basically another me. I have a house in the city with a backyard about 1 metre long. I ride horses once a week and I so badly wish I could more. I constantly do odd jobs and other stuff to try to get money but it is still not enough. Any horse fan reading this right now go and find the first book. Especially if you don't have a horse, because once you start reading it you fall into this world where its like you are living Ashleigh's life and have your own horse.I think that the horse mad series is definitely the greatest horse series of all time. It is a cure for not- having-your-own-horse syndrome.I can definitely relate to some of the problems that Ashleigh has with her friends too. Each time I read the book I get another piece of a life lesson that I can use my life. I also want to thank Kathy Helidoniotis for writing such great books and that I hope you write more!! I LOVE HORSES!!!!

Horse Mad is the best book I have ever read !!!!
It is a story about a girl that was horse crazy of course but her mom and dad could get her a horse because they lived in the city that is all I'm going to say, you will have to find out the rest. Awesome book !!!

I totally love it because I'm totally horse mad myself. I want a horse of my own so I'm doing what Ashely did trying so hard, also me and Ashley have so much in common and i can relate. I'm on book 7 almost on book 8 hope she writes more. I'm not afraid to admit I'm horse mad!

I love these, they are medium length, creative and easy to find. I can't wait for the next one, Ashley is an awesome character and the plots are creative. The author is a good narrator too.

i just finished the book totally horse mad! i love it, it is absolutely amazing. one day i couldn't find it i tore apart my mom's room, through the pillows around, threw off the blankets, looked in the cracks at the top of my bed (it is a built in bed) finally i looked in the covers and found it, i was so happy!!! i really want to read the next one, i just can't find it! :( but it is a great book. i AM NOT so fond of flea tho lol :)

i LOVE this book series its so good im in the third book (horse mad academy) its sad at the part where Ashleigh's new friends brooke and juliette turn against her in chapter 8 nearly nine i finished horse mad summer last week it was good to and so was totally horse mad amagen loosing your best friend.

Why you should read the series.

You should really read them! The books are great andd i have to whole series. I have all of them from #1 to #6. They all have a good complication and I like the endings because their like good endings that lead to another book in the series. I'd recommend it to all horse lovers and totally horse mad girls and boys. They all have friendship in it which is always great. Each book tells a different story with a different lesson. I like all of them but i especially like #3 which is horse mad academy. It tells you about different kinds of riding for example something like cross country or equestrian. The first book tells you at the beginning that you should always concentrate. The second book is about friendship and helping one another. The third is all about riding and their aspects. The fourth is about girls who save a horse sold by one of their sisters. The fifth is about western riding and the sixth is about being in boarding school with a horse. Thank you for reading this. Once again, I recommend this book for all horse lovers.
