A beautiful movie with some of the most gorgeous pictures of horses I have ever seen. The story is about Thowra, the Silver Stallion, a legendary brumby. (I never heard of brumbies before but they seem to be the Australian equal to the wild Mustangs in the Western US.)

This one is a beautiful silver and cream stallion who is hunted by a man who wants to own him. There are many adventures, and heartbreak as the story unfolds.

I thought it was very realistic about wild horses, and it was hard in a couple of places where the stallions fight for the herds. Also there was a hard part to watch when they are breaking a wild horse.

The ending was astonishing, nothing I would have expected, but I won't give it away.

If you love horses, this is an incredible movie to watch.

Classic Aussie movie and story (coming from an aussie!) but the different name you have listed is a little annoying. Movie is good but book is amazing!

I Know What A Brumby Is. They're Extreamly Wild Horses That Are Fast And Extreamly Hard To Catch And/Or Tame.

My Grandpa Took Me To Austraila And We Tried To Catch One. I Got My Rope Around A Beautiful Black Mare. I Named Her Mystery. I Did Catch Her. We Brought Her Home And I Put Her In The Arena.

While She Ran Around I Stood In The Middle. After A Few Hours She Came And Sniffed Me. Now We Barrel Race And Do 4-H. I'm So Glad I Brought Her Home. She Has Had Two Foals Since Then One Was All Black Just Like Her. But Was A Colt. I Named Him Midnight. She Also Had A Black And White Pinto Filly. I Named Her Patches. They Still Live With Us To This Very Day. Mystery Is Now 8. Midnight Is 4 And Patches Just Turned 2. And They Will Live With Us Until They Die.

i haven't seen the movie yet, but if you go on youtube.com, then type in the silver brumby, then you can watch it in cartoon version, and the horses actually talk, as well as the other animals...

That movie sounds great! I'm from Australia and a brumby is a national treasure for it is the only native wild horse we have. And I would love to see this movie.
