I love this movie - it is the best movie ever to do with horses!! It has show jumping, cross country and dressage in it, also a bit of western! it is quite a rare movie AND I HAVE IT!!! It has Melissa Gilbert in it, if that is any help.

Pretty good!

*Possible spoilers!*

I like this movie, mainly because of the riding. The best scenes, in my opinion, are those when she's riding Sylvester. There's a lot you can learn from when she's doing the events. I really didn't like all of the bad language, and romance. I think those things were unnecessary and made me like the movie less. Also, I thought it was a bit unrealistic that she had barely rode in the certain style she would for the eventing, and that it was one of the biggest events and her first event, and she happened to win. Especially because there was other Olympic riders there. Overall, I liked this movie just because of the great horse scenes.

great movie

The horse scenes and instructional tidbits in this movie are fairly accurate except that it's almost impossible for a horse/rider to start at prelim. Whenever I get the winter blues I pull this movie out to pump me up for spring events. I've been eventing on and off for 15 years and neither me, nor my horses have ever been hurt. The secret is in the preparation - and this movie drills that point.

It sounds okay except for the fact that I'm very against cross-country. My horse Chance broke his leg in cross country a few years ago and is lucky to be alive. Plus, lots of horses and riders die during cross country every year.

I love the horse events in the end of the movie, but i dearly hated the rest. They should have made it more of a family movie.

This is not a good movie for younger children. They said it was rated PG on the outside while when the movie was playing, it was rated R! It's not a good movie to watch. VERY POOR!!
