We asked her how to share how she made it:
Poco was two pirates. Costume on front and back ends. Pirates we’re carrying a treasure chest.
How did you come up with your costume idea?
Saw a similar version on a dachschund.
How did you make it?
Three pirate costumes, cardboard, scissors, twist ties, paint, tons of safety pins.
How much does it cost?
I already had two of the costumes, and the cardboard was from a friend’s place of business, so remainder was around $120.
Where did you wear it?
Costume contest at a play day at a mountain trail course in MD.
How did people react?
Loved it, especially the ‘back’ pirate walking. We got 1st place.
How did your horse like it?
He’s not phased by much so no troubles there!
