Hi! That sounds totally like me, I live in the city so its really hard to do horse and animal stuff. I am a tomboy too and go to wilderness camp every month! I don't have my own horse, but am trying to find a barn to take lessons at. My grandma has horse so I know how to ride! :D Please respond to this comment!! I am on a game called Horse Academy and my username is HorseyGirl. If anyone has advice for earning money for a horse, or finding a Horse Crazy friend, please tell me...I NEED A FRIEND TOO. I live right now in a place where it's about horse and fashion. But soon I'm going to live in a place where i don't even think there is horses! I'm hoping that I make friends like me. But, maybe try to friend people that are just like you or close. I hope I helped.

Ok so I am now getting my first horse and just found this website. I need a friend too. I’m not interested in makeup dresses or fancy things. I love fishing and riding and chasing animals with my dog barefoot and tubing and all the fun stuff. If anybody decides to be my friend they're gonna be in for an adventure.

I'm like your twin sister!

I am the only girl in a family of 7, so I am a complete and utter tomboy. I love wrestling my brothers, riding horses and quad bikes, and exploring the bush on my property. I hardly ever wear shoes, unless I'm going in the bush, and am fast, can jump high and am a complete and utter daredevil.

I know how to break in horses and can ride western and english, I usually compete in eventing but also do western shows and gymkhanas.

All my 'friends' are girly girls and tease me for loving horses and coming to school with muddy shoes and straw in my hair. I need a friend who's a horsey girl like me! My animals are always getting lose so I have plenty of experience in chasing runaway animals!

I'm starting a page called The horsecrazy tomboys so you can join and all us tomboys can talk away from the girly girls!

I didn't mention that I jump high too? I was in track actually, and I was already one of the fastest runners, but there were still people faster than me (they were like 4 years older than me).

I'm good in sprinting, but I can run for longer distances at a sort-of sprint too. I was also in high jump, so yes I'm able to jump quite high but I'm not that tall, just around average. I also have a very good aim and throw and I actually shot a basketball into the hoop from the other end of the court. :)

I don't even bother with long hair because it gets in the way and makes me irritated so if I do have long hair I'll still probably cut it off anyway.

I also love all animals, but currently I love horses, and dogs and wolves come a close second.

No one that I've met so far has actually understood me before, so I've never been able to make friends that I can really totally confide in. I'm up for anything and everything. Honestly, I really really hope we can be friends.

we are so alike! I love horses so much but don't have one, sadly. :(( I have lots of friends, but the rowdier ones always go with my sister and I'm left with the quieter friends. I like them too, but they're girly and quiet and I'm just a tomboy and I'm super loud (maybe too loud).

I love doing adventurous outdoor things provided I don't need to sit down or stand in one place for too long otherwise I'd get restless lol. I've climbed trees, jumped into drains (woops), played pranks on others and got scolded (woops again), caught frogs and dragonflies and cockroaches and a bunch of other stuff.

I would run around barefoot if I had the chance because shoes just make me feel uncomfortable (lol) and mostly I just wear slippers because I can get them off easily.

I'm not meaning to brag, but I'm the fastest girl in the school, and even among the boys, there are only about three to four people who I can't beat. If you wanna be friends and you have a howrse account we can start there, or something. :))

I have a twin sister who is totally girly and takes forever in the bathroom. I love horses and all animals. Love to build forts and play soccer. I ride a horse once a week at a local stable. I run barefoot all the time (besides in the winter) and I really need a horsecrazy friend. All my friends are like when I'm talking about horse tack "WHAT" then I have to explain it to them. Hey, I am just like you.

I go on camping trips as often as I can. I love fishing, four wheeling, horse riding, snow machining, swimming in the lake, going on the jet ski, running around bare foot. I am exceptionally fast. I am a dare devil of sorts, I like going on my roof. I am very athletic.

My favorite animal is a horse. I am absolutely, 100% hopelessly horse crazy. I don't have a horse but I am saving up to buy one. I would rather have a horse than a phone. I love doing anything I can to help out with animals and I am going into a program called 4h. It's an animal program.

I would much rather wear boots, a pair of jeans and a t-shirt than a dress and high heels. I would rather muck out a stall than clean my own room.

I looooove building forts, especially out of snow or mud. I love playing in the dirt. I don't mind getting my hands dirty, and I like to help my grandpa fix cars and trucks.

I think we would be great friends!

Hi!! I saw your post and I'm a tomboy, too! I have 1 girly sister and 4 brothers. My other best friend is a boy and he's a year older than me but he's never won a race with me. Seriously! In all the races I've had I've won--except a few times with my 20-somethings brothers...

I only go barefoot unless I'm riding or in town. I wear my boots of course, duh! I collect pocket knives and horseshoes and my favorite animals are my dogs. I climb trees and the boys always ask if I'll join in their games cuz I got a good arm and I run fast. My sister runs fast, too, but she stays inside a lot.

I fish everyday of the summer and hate school. I think I'm pretty mucha tomboy. I hate dressing up and high heels are my enemy. I even have a tomboy name! It's actually my nickname LOL.

I don't need an iPhone or selfies. I would rather go swim in the lake or swing and jump off the trees into the water. You and me were made for each other because I used to have a tomboy friend but guess what--she turned girly on me!! It was a mess and I need another friend like this!!!

Oh my gosh! We're so alike! I'm not horse crazy, I'M A HORSE LUNATIC!! I literally cannot stop thinking about them. I'm also a tomboy and like going barefoot. And am the fastest person in my family. (I don't have very many friends, either). I don't have my own horse (working on it), but my neighbors let me ride and take care of their horses. We should be friends!

I go barefoot all the time! I'm not afraid to be one of the boys and mud is like makeup. I love diesels, forts, four wheelers and boots. Horses and goats are awesome and I have 4 brothers. My sister trains horses and my other sister just love them. Anyway, we can write each other? That sounds awesome! But I live in Ohio... I can jump high, run really fast (when I was eleven I beat everybody, even 4 twelve year old boys in a race.)
Barefoot is the best, shoes slow me down!
I love the woods, I'm more me there than anywhere else. Sometimes I get so fed up with school and books.
What I really love to do is talk to the coyotes, and when they're not around, I talk to my dog. Both in their own language.
Just last night I was running around with my dog, every once in a while stopping to give out a "Hello, any one else around?" howl, and someone over the hill shot a gun. I laughed, because the person who shot obviously thought that I was a coyote, and around here, farmers HATE coys.
We have bunnies too, one just had five kits a week ago. Love them!
We have two pygmy goats that we're breeding this fall.
Anyways, sounds absolutely awesome!

Hi there! Please I need a horse insane obsessed mad friend! My mom and dad are like why do you love horses so much? I'm in 4h and have a bunch of overly obsessed horse crazy friends but the problem is I only see them every couple weeks. My walls and ceiling is covered in horse posters my shelf has at least 200 horse books and 100 model horses. I have tons of horse magazines and I'm a complete tomboy. Just yesterday my friends and I were running around the arena at 4h jumping jumps like we were riding horses barefoot! Please oh please I need a friend who I can talk to!

I know how you feel-it's hard to make friends sometimes! Do you ride at a barn/stable? Maybe try talking about horsey-related subjects with another girl who takes lessons or ask someone what they know about, oh, say owning or leasing a horse. People love sharing their knowledge because it makes them feel good. Anyways surely someone will want to chat all day about their favorite subject with you. That's how I am. I understand it's hard to approach others, but try your best and just be friendly. And even then, I know it's still tough. Maybe watch out for another girl who needs a friend.

I have had situations like that before. If I make a friend, they usually start paying more attention to another friend (who is popular, yes, but nice) than to me. It's a bit of a let down because, where I like a lot of friends, I can't seem to get any who actually get close to me. I'm awkward in social situations. One friend (BFF who I never see since she switched schools) has, before, seemed to like my sister more. I like your strategy, though. I'm a lot more confident on the computer than, say, school. I'm almost never in awkward situations! In horse games, I've made a lot of friends who are awesome.

hi my name is Erika. I love horses to death and ever1 in my family makes fun of me becuz I CAN'T stop talking about them. my twin sister is older (8 minutes lol) and pretty, popular but i'm kinda chubby and would rather sleep in a tent, go hiking, riding, and play tag with my dog Chester. I don't have a horse though :(I LOVE animals and cats are my 2nd fave animal. I have 2 of them and 2 rabbits and 1 dog and ZERO HORSE! :(

Hi Dragonfly -

It can be really hard to find friends who are horsecrazy like you. I have an idea for you. Why don't you ask your parents if you can try a 4-H club? There are ones that are involved with horses and some that are involved with other animals (bunnies, goats, etc.). If you try a few you may find other kids who are interested in the same stuff as you. I hope that works! If any of our readers have other suggestions, let Dragonfly know.
