Hi everyone, it's me again!
These 4 pictures are so important to me. I entered my drawings in my local fair a while back (ending of July) and I am so happy I did. I got grand and three first place ribbons (4 counting the first that got me grand, lol)

This is how I draw a horse
by Aspen
(WY, USA)
Step 1
Step 2
Step 3
Step 4
I had somebody take my picture so I can tell my story.
1. I start with the beautiful head of this horse and then go down the back and the front legs.
2. After I got the whole body done, I started to do the muscle in this horse's body and shade the legs. I am happy with how it looks.
Tip: I most often draw with HB to a 6H some of the lighter pencils so I can remove easily.
3. I start to color it with the color of Christmas - red and green.
4. There you have it! A pretty drawing of a horse around Christmas!
Play Fight
by Aspen
(WY, USA)
Play Fight
Play fight is a wax-based colored pencil drawing of two horses play fighting.
One is a beautiful bay, probably stallion, and the other is a built red roan stallion who's probably a draft of some type.
I had a lot of fun doing these two since there is sooo much to focus on. I would love to hear which is your favorite and why?

I got brand NEW wax base "of course" they're Faber Castell colored pencils for Christmas. I couldn't believe it I was SOOOOO pleased with them today as I tried them out on this Wild full of spit Akhal-teke stallion. It's a major hit on Facebook and I'm hoping on here too.

Cavalli Stallion Drawing

Cavalli Drawing :D
Cavalli Real life?
Starting out the drawing :D
Name: Roberto Cavalli
Date: 11/5/2017
Artist: Aspen/Aspenn F/Billy Bob
Materials: Oil-based colored pencil
Story about this horse I taken a like to:
He was a very very hard horse to research on. I looked everywhere for real-life pictures other than the one I drew him from.
I did find this one of him and probably his rider. One thing I cannot understand is why Roberto Cavalli (PICTURE WITH RIDER) has a white muzzle but the (DRAWING) horse Cavalli does not? Maybe they covered his markings over for the picture or maybe the internet is wrong and mixed up with the pictures? I have not a clue. ;)
But I am very proud of this piece I think it deserves some comments. Please feel free!

Show Pony 11/2/2017
Happy Halloween and NOW Happy Thanksgiving!
Don't know if it's just me but the holidays are coming up too quickly. I have to start coming up with ideas for this year's Christmas horse drawing. Any ideas, comment below!
Just got this one done on 11/2/2017. I call him "Show pony" inspired by Ricky Rebel.
Show pony is a Wild and creative drawing (if you ask me) and I just love the movement of the drawing - 3D, if that almost looks like he was bucking and someone snapped a picture.
Please feel free to comment! I love to have lots of comments. I appreciate every single one of them ;)

Friesian run
Friesian run (first horse)
This one I call Friesian run...
There's nothing literally wrong with this piece that I can find, just the middle horse's front legs, the hooves to be exact.
I started out with the very first horse on the left, below is a picture so you all can see how much little detail goes into just ONE horse or whatever you are drawing (I actually had someone say I should frame it and sell it :D).

Sorrel
I've done a sorrel this time bringing back all those wonderful memories of Soshka the family horse we use to have, she was so beautiful. R.I.P Soshka...
Again, I used oil-based colored pencil on white paper.
Feel free to comment and even ask questions. I'll try my best to answer them. ;)
Oil-based colored horse drawings

Buckskin
Red Roan
Black stallion
The many years I've posted my artwork I've never ever posted anything like what I've been doing now. These last few days I've done many black and white pieces, many of them, and I've completed what I came to do, now I'm working on my colored pencil drawings.
These few that I'm posting now means a lot to me. Each of them took many hard-earned hours, some up two 2 days, but I'll get to the point.
1 -
Name: Buckskin Quarter horse stallion
Materials: Oil based colored pencil
Story: This one was my very first colored pencil drawings I ever done in full color
2-
Name: Red roan mare
Materials: Oil based colored pencil
Story: Okay, this one is actually funny, I first thought this was a Blue Roan lol, then I was told it was and red roan and I was like :o
3-
Name: Black Stallion
Materials: Oil Based colored pencil
Story: This one I'm very proud of, it was my very first time to do a black horse in FULL COLOR it was a enjoyable experience..
All these I posted on Fb and gotten many likes, some up to 65. I'm very happy with these and I would love to hear what you all have to say.

I have improved with my art work and talent.
I just want to say never give up hope when you're drawing. If you're drawing from pictures sometimes it'll knock you down, but don't let it. If you're drawing from your mind and you go blank, just breathe and carry on.
Also, here are drawings from years ago and drawings today. Feel free to comment ask questions.
Faded Mystery **2017 drawing** plus MORE

Faded Mystery
Whale Drawing
THE eye OF the TIGER
Alright, so here is what I call "Faded Mystery".
It's a horse picture I found on Google but I made it my own by adding my very own shading in places the picture didn't have like continuing the back leg and not continuing the rear end, also making more personality in the face and hair.
I like it and over 30 people on FB and counting more on Pinterest like this picture, but I would LOVE to hear what all you horse crazy girls like about it down below in the comments.
By the way, this and the others are 2017 drawings. It looks like the year is a good year for artwork.
Thank you!

A Cowboy drawing (12/3/2016)
Hi everyone! Merry early horse-y Christmas!
Drawing #1 (pen): A zen-tangle/zen-doodle, literally I don't know the difference, I think they're the same. I think it's beautiful! Please comment below
Drawing #2 (pen): The Zen-Tangle horse, I think it's good enough to be in a coloring book, but one of those detailed books.. oh, a dream come true! :P
Drawing #3 (pen): Now this one is actually really cute. It's of a Breyer horse I have called Tommy Joe and his friend Junior the Zebra. I would love to hear what you all have to say down below! :D
Drawing #4 (charcoal/pencil): This one isn't a horse, but who rides a horse? Yeppers, a cowboy! I would do a cowgirl but instead I chose to do this old, weathered cowboy. I wanted to add lots of detail and personality with all the wrinkles and lines throughout his face. Please feel free to comment!

Irish Cob
I once did an Irish Cob back in 2013-2014 and let's just say I wasn't all that when it came to drawing horses. Well, the table's turned because I've gotten probably 97% better in the short years of 2015 to 2016, and THIS YEAR--2017.
Please enjoy and feel free to comment. This drawing was the LAST drawing of 2016.
Happy New Year!

Horses of Different Colors

In a Zebra's Coat
Buddy the Rainbow 2nd
The Holiday Ornament
The first one is of a Zebra. If you look closely, you'll see my name blended in the Zebra's coat. I made him colorful because I don't usually draw with a lot of colors but when I do it's all worth it. :)
My second drawing really makes me smile.
I'm sure I've mentioned a horse called Buddy the 2nd/Cody D, the one and only appaloosa stallion before. I've also wrote stories about Buddy and Buddy. I'm sure you've all heard about it on this site.
But lets get back to the drawing. I drew Buddy the 2nd with colorful spots and a rainbow tail. Of course, he's being wild as always and racing the wind.
About the third one... Ever since I could remember, I entered my drawings in my town's newspaper. Last year, I didn't get front page. I don't really know why, maybe my artwork was lacking something in the holiday spirit.
So this year, I'm going to enter this one. I call it "The Holiday Ornament".
Please everyone, feel free to comment!

Rainbow Dash and a Pumpkin
by Aspen
(WY, USA)
At the end of the rainbow
Horse pumpkin carving
A beautiful Drawing of Rainbow Dash! And to add to this, I found a poem about rainbows that I would like the share.
"At the end of the rainbow, dreams unfold.
And some people say there is a pot of gold.
How well I recall a rainbow one day
that shone in the sky when a storm went away.
Rain pelted my car; I felt so afraid.
But as I neared home, it started to fade.
The sky, once so dark, grew more and more blue.
I thrilled next to see a rainbow arch through!
It bent toward the mountains, so beautiful,
a peace and great joy welled up in my soul.
No pot of gold at its end did I see,
but still there was gold and it beckoned to me.
The mountains were gilded with a bright gleam.
This is the magic that makes poets dream!
When I got home, I took paper and pen
and wrote of that beauty, God's promise to men.
Again I recall how my soul lifted.
At the rainbow's end, God's love is gifted."
IDK, I thought it was pretty and it kind of went along with the drawing. Hope everyone enjoys this! Feel free to comment!
