Snow Angel!
by: Horses Rock This World!!!!!!

You should definitely get Snow Angel, the others are just to tall! Have you ever seen a 17 hand horse before? I have and I can't even reach his withers on my tippy toes and I'm an average height 12 year old. 16 hands is also to tall. So based on height, Snow is the best.

Lady of War
by: Paige

I think Lady of War would be the best option. She is not too high strung and sounds great for your first horse. Before buying your horse, you should ride it to see if it is the best fit for you. Always remember, it is your horse and your choice. Have fun! 🐴😊

Where did you go to camp?
by: Anonymous

Lady of war sounds awesome for you, but where did you learn to jump five feet? I am the same age as you, and have one of the top ten trainers on the east coast and have been riding for seven years and can only jump 3'-3'6". I need to know where you went to camp!

lady of war
by: horsereiner

I think lady of war fits u the best. my family owns a stallion and most stallions are bit high strung and can act silly sometimes which would be dangerous. i think lady of war is the best for u and she's your favorite.

MARTI!!! :)

I think you should get marti because he can jump higher than you currently can so he will take you far. Plus he's at his prime age so he will last you a good 7 years.

Heres what i think (:
by: Kamie K.

i think you should choose a horse that you really like and that is best for you. Like you said in the description you are in the beginner section. I remember when i was getting my first horse i wanted a paint(my dream horse) but instead i got a bay horse. Not everyone gets their dream horse. but i bet you can buy a horse that you really love and that is great for you (: i would choose a sorta in the small horse stage maybe in the 15hh. I cant really say what horse you should get butttt i think you should keep looking before you make up your mind (:

My opinion
by: Anonymous

I think you should get Lady of war or the stallion. I would not go for the pony because ponies can sometimes have tempers (especially mares) and one sad day you will out grow her. Plus she's getting pretty old. I think the stallion would be a wonderful choice IF you can get him gelded. Stallions are NOT ideal for intermediate riders; they have a 'boy hormone' that sometimes causes them to act up. Plus, he'll constantly be flirting with mares, which can be really frustrating. Also, if you are interested in riding in 4H or another club, usually stallions are not allowed. If the horse is gelded, you loose that 'boy hormone' and are left with a really great horse. My horse is a gelding, and I absolutely love him to death. If you love the mare, you should get her though!!! It's great you get to choose; not all girls get that opportunity!! :) Mares are gentle but they can get moody. Get the horse that you love!!!

Here's what I think!!!
by: Horserider

I think you should get Snowy! I don't think Randson would be a good choice. First of all because you said hes high strung. And horses like that should be handled with a ADVANCED rider! If you want to know I am also a medium skilled rider. I have been riding for 2 years, but started English last summer also! SNOWY would be good because she is good with other animals, and has experince with other people.( Because you said shes 18) Good luck with your new horse. I am just suggesting this, it all depends on what horse you feel fits you most! But if your not a advanced rider yet, I would say get SNOWY!!!

Snowy
by: Anonymous

Get Snowy (First horse) for starters she would be the safest horse. DON'T get the stallion if they put high strung in there. For a first horse get a horse that is 12-16 and has some experience. Snowy would be the best option because of her high and breed. I rode a Connemara for 6 months and there excellent jumper ponies as well as eventing. I believe most of your stuff but If you have only been riding for less then a year I HIGHLY doubt you can jump 5-3 feet. JUST SAYING, hopes this helps!

Lady of War
by: Unicorn

I'd suggest Lady of War. The first mare, Snowy, would probably be the "safest". She sounds older and experienced and plodded.

However, if you're an ambitious rider, don't limit yourself. You can jump 3ft? Then get a horse for whom 3ft is well, well within its scope. Also, she's not very young. You won't be riding her forever.

The stallion is probably not a good choice especially if he is highly strung. 17hh is a lot to handle for an 11-year-old girl. I'm a bit biased because the only stallion I've worked with gave me a lot of trouble including a concussion, but he is three years old and I backed him myself, so I won't say that all stallions are a pain. Also, if you want to go in for jumping, he probably won't be suitable. And if you have dogs, he might not fit in.

I'd suggest Lady of War. What really matters is if you like the horse and if you two fit together. She sounds sensible, but not old. She can jump, she isn't too old or young. She sounds great. I'd pick Lady of War.

In the end, take the horse that fits you the best. Choosing the wrong horse can lead to misery - for you and the horse! And I wish you the very best in all your horsey ventures, and a deep friendship with whichever horse you choose.

I think you should go with your favorite. do not go with the thoroughbred/Hanoverian because for one thing since he is high stung that would not be that good. and he is also tall. i am going to 13 soon and am hoping to get a horse like that be cause i have been taking lessons for 5 years and have been riding for my entire life.

by: Anonymous

Stallions are definitely not that high-strung... sure you'll run into a stallion that's high-strung but you can also find mares and geldings that are just as high-strung....my 7-year old stallion isn't even close to being as high-strung as my 1- year old mare.

Lady of War
by: ranchgirl

I think Lady of War is sssssssoooooooooo the best for you. Especially cause it's your fave.

The one in the middle is a stallion and not the best for you because sometimes they can be out of hand. It would be stress. Don't pick the stallion!!

The first one is a little bit for 7-9 year old. You need a bit of a challenge and not a pony and not a beginner ride. I would definitely pick my favorite.

I hope this helps and enjoy your new horse/pony.

The Right Horse for you
by: CR

Not to be rude, but if you were a medium-skilled rider and had been riding for less than a year, I doubt you can jump 5 feet.

Anyways, get a horse that is aged around 12-16 years if you're looking to show and have for a long time. A pony around 14hh-16hh hands, 17hh hands is okay but sometimes its kinda well, big! No less then 14 maybe even 14.2 because you quickly out grow the horse. You want something to be able to jump higher then 2 foot because you will learn to jump higher...

Beginner training helps and definitely good with animals if you have animals! So I think, none of the horses sound good for you. I wish you good luck and I hope this helps!

So I think Lady of War would be your best choice. Also please don't lie. If you are 11 you can NOT jump 5 ft. You said about 1 year of riding? It takes at least 5 years of riding to jump f ft. Also you have to be a expert on horses to jump 5 ft.
