Where the Red Roans Run Free - Part 1
(New York, USA)
This is a story I wrote myself, enjoy!!!
Julia couldn't take her eyes off of the the new horse. Her powerful muscles rippling under her beautiful red roan coat. As she watched, the horse ran around, sometimes stopping to neigh at the other, plain colored, horses.
"Can I ride Star today?" Julia asked Sarah, the owner of her riding barn, "I really think she will be good for me. Hanna said her ride is great!!"
"Not until you get a little better, she's a very advanced horse, she is a little too fast for you. Don't worry, you'll get there," Sarah said sympathetically.
Felling her face grow hot and her eyes grow wet, Julia mumbled, "Okay," and walked to the barn to saddle up Texas, a great but not very pretty horse.

Sorry I could not finish, here is the rest:
After tacking up and ridding, Julia wanted to ride Star more than anything. One night, two days after she saw Star for the first time, she just couldn't stand it anymore, she had to ride that horse. Only one problem, she had no experience in running away and the barn was 20 minutes from her house in a car.
"I'll have to walk," she thought grimly, looking outside at the pouring rain. Grabbing her rain coat and boats, Julia ran down the stairs to the door.
Once outside, she shivered with fear and with the cold, it was PITCH BLACK, and got darker as she moved away from the comforting lights of home. I HAVE to ride that horse, Julia thought to herself as she ran through the freezing rain, I just HAVE to.
She knew the way the the barn by heart, so she didn't get lost, and by the time she got there, it had only been 30 minutes, and she was not even cold anymore from all of that running.
The stable door made a creak, much to loud for comfort, and opened to a dim lighted hallway full of Julia's favorite animals, HORSES!!! The tack was easy to find, and the sable felt warm in Julia's hands, as if someone had used it just recently.
Suddenly someone grabbed Julia by the shirt and whispered, "We don't like trespassers in this here barn, sweetie, what are you a doing down here at this late hour? Not fixing to steal a horse I hope."

Sorry to keep you guys waiting, here is the real end, maybe!!
Julia kicked and punched, but was hit in the head by something hard and was knocked out before she could hit someone. Darkness enveloped Julia, making the people's voices blurry. All she could her before she drifted off to unconsciousness was "lets take her to the police."
A bright sun light woke Julia up the next morning, though she was not in her bed like she thought she would be. Instead, she was in a cold prison cell with a small, hard bed and one little window across from the bed just big enough to let in the sun.
Covering her angry face with a gross dusty blanket, she cried herself to sleep. She had no idea that the next time she got up she would be in the last place she would have expected.
Go to Where the Red Roans Run Free - Part 4 for the REAL rest, sorry guys, think of it as waiting for a book in a series to come out!!!

Sorry to keep you all waiting!! Here is the real end!! Enjoy!!!!
Cold grass and the sound of horses woke Julia from her deep sleep. She blinked her eyes open and looked around. Grass, more grass, trees and...HORSES!!! Julia was so startled she yelled, making the horses raise their heads from their grazing. Studying the horses, Julia noticed that
they were all horses from her old barn, and soon she spotted Star, grazing by a chestnut named Thumper.
"How did we get here, Starry Star Girl?," Julia asked, weaving her way through the other horses to Star. "Where are we??"
Star, seeming to know what Julia was saying, shook her head. Julia knew what she had to do, she had to get on Star and ride to safety, than tell someone about the horses. But as she looked around, she felt the happiest she had ever felt.
The fresh air, the open spaces and no adults!!! Besides, her parents would kill her if she went back, so why not become a bush girl. She had read about them in stories and had always secretly dreamed about being one.
Just than there was a loud neigh and the sound of horses running. Whats going on? Julia thought as she ran after the horses. After going over a small hill, she saw why all of the horses ran to this spot.
A huge field full of even greener(if that's possible) grass than the grass on the other side and grazing it where not only the horses from Julia's barn, but at lest 20 red roan horses. Off to Julia's right about 20 feet away was a cave that looked big enough to live in comfortably.
"I could stay here forever," Julia cried to the wind, and with that she bounded to the cave, suddenly feeling very hungry, and made a fire, "There's a stream over there, it's a good thing I like fish."
