Wow. That did not end the way I expected at all. I am sorry about Star. I know you're probably over it by now though. I know what is like losing a horse. One of mine died about a year ago and took a peice of me with her. It's like losing a best friend. Just wanted let you know that your sorrow is deeply felt, and that you're not alone in this. Did you get another horse?

good ending :'(
by: Aspen... Artist

Boy oh boy, the ending was a tear jerker, it wasn't a happily ever after that's for sure, but that just tells you that it's reality, real life, nothing ever goes the way we plan so I really enjoyed your story. I look forward to more story's you write, maybe I'll think of a story I can write and you all can read, lol.

Good job!

I feel bad beause my story doesn't have half as much stuff about horses as yours does. I love the style, it's just like you.

Thanks for the being the only friend I have that likes horses.

Chapter Four
by: Parker Liam

Chapter 4

Man life is so busy! Sorry that I take so long in keeping the story going! I've been so busy with hockey that I don't have time for a lot else... Things are going well though, so maybe we even have a chance! I'll try to finish up my story this time.
My mom really flipped when I got hurt. She said no more riding and even though I said earlier that I was out there every day that was definitely not by her wishes. Star seemed terribly sorry that I wasn't up to doing anything other than some one-handed brushing and was extra nice and gentle. By the time winter rolled around I was ready to ride! Dad had been raring to get me out and going for a long time but mom would her nothing of the sort. One day me and dad sorta snuck out while mom was in town and went for a ride. Dad did understand that I was more fragile then before and didn't make me do anything more than I wanted. Even though I didn't know it, dad saw something in Star Dancer that I never knew was there. That was her ability to run. She was competitive, agile and had amazing power in her body. One day dad surprised me by asking if I would like to race her at the Canada Day celebration. He said it would be against some of my friends. Now I know that your likely thinking that this whole thing is rather old fashioned. But we lived in a little town and since everyone knew everyone else and since we didn't really have any other reason to celebrate this is what we did. Well, I won the race by a ways and went on to bigger things. not professional or anything, but I did do a bit of traveling to show off what Star and me could do. Then one day before school I went out to chore Star and she was acting so weird. pawing the ground and kicking at the air under her belly. I panicked and went to get dad. He called the vet right away, but the vet said it there was something wrong in her stomach and there was nothing he could do. I don't remember what the problem was. I stayed with her all day while she kicked and pawed and rolled around. finally I could see that she was tiring. Star sank down on the fresh straw that I had spread out and stayed there. I tried feeding her some warm something my dad had concocted but she would have none of it. That evening she died. Part of me died too. She had been there when my parents weren't. She had taught me that I could do things I didn't know where possible. Even though I was almost 13 years old I cried like I never had before that night. And if you are sad for me, don't be. Star had a good life, she helped me through that stage off my life and now I have moved on to other things. Like hockey and volleyball. I'm sorry if this is not the ending you all thought it was going to be. Not really a happily ever after thing. But like the saying goes "smile because it happened, don't cry because it's over". Bye for now. Parker

I'm glad your dad was fine, you had me there. lol. I love how you're telling the story almost as if all of us are there watching, it's pretty spectacular. Keep on writing, I see potential.

Can't wait till the next chapter. I started out on a green horse too. It's not the best thing for a begginer so we soon got a trained horse after I ended up breaking several bones. If you know what you're doing then green horses can be great. Now I am training several green horses and making significant progress because I've had years of experience. Hopefully your horse turns out to be awesome in some future chapters of this story!
