Mares Are Better

Personally, I think Rain should be the main character. It wouldn't be the first time the main character of the story isn't on as much as they should be. In Sleeping Beauty, Aurora is only on for about fifteen minutes total. Rain is by far the most beautiful horse in the film and has the nicest temperament. They better make a sequel starring Rain as the main character. MARES RULE! Yes I am biased when it comes to mares and stallions. It's not something I'm proud of.

I love this movie for five reasons. Here they are:

1: HORSES! DUUUH! The horse in this movie is awesome.
2: Great animation.
3:For once, Native Americans are good guys and the European INVADERS are bad guys. The Native Americans were here first. Europeans INVADED. Why are the Europeans usually good guys, then?
4: LOVE! Spirit is in love. I'm a girl so I like that.
5: GREAT storyline. It's just a little complicated, and very touching.

There is also a book series about him and his herd called SPIRIT OF THE CIMARRON and there are four books in the series. The forth book is all about Spirit and the other three are about other horses in the Cimarron herd.

I've loved this movie since I was probably about 3 days old. Okay, maybe not THAT long, but longer than I can remember. I'm 12 now so it's been a really long time. It's always been a dream to one day own a horse just like Spirit. He's helped me through a lot. For example, learning how to ride a bike. I would pretend that I was Little Creek, and my bike was Spirit. And I would imagine that I would only be able to stay on that bike when I truly deserved it. All that added up to a few weeks ago, when I got my first horse, Spirit.
He's pretty much exactly like the real Spirit, except two white socks and a stripe. But when I'm with him, I feel, Free.

I saw this movie ever since I was a kid. In fact, I was 10 years old when it first came out in theaters. I liked it way better than Star Wars Episode II: Attack of the Clones. And best of all, they picked the right actor to lend his narrating voice to Spirit and the best singer to sing the songs to go with the film. My favorite scenes were the ones where Spirit and Rain fall in love. I mean... I noticed that Rain is a paint horse, and paint horses are my favorite domestic breed of horse.

I had to rate this movie five stars. I think it's excellent and I couldn't give it any lower of a rating! I got it as a present and I loved it. My whole family watched this and we all enjoyed it. For all horse lovers around this is the perfect movie with a little romance, lots of action, a beautiful bond between a horse and a man, lots of loyalty, a hint of humour and some brilliant morals to the story! If you haven't yet seen this movie, I advice you to buy the dvd as it is a movie you can watch again and again!:-)

I have to agree with you Heather, but if he wasn't caught, what point would there be in the movie? I love it! A wonderful mix of Sadness, Friendship, Romance and, of course, funny parts (Like when his tongue is stuck on the icicle! *Pull, pull* SNAP! lol)

I first watched this movie when i was really young. Like 4. And i have been watching it ever since.This movie really makes you feel apart of Spirits journey and takes you into the story. i have also read the book. Which by the way is based on the movie instead of the movie being based on it.

Anyway this movie is definitely the ultimate movie for horse lovers. I just can't put into words how great it is. And how inspiring it was to me. if you have not already seen this movie then you have to see it RIGHT NOW!!!Or else you are going to miss out on the ultimate experience.
Happy movie watching :)

P.S Based on my past experiences i do not recommend this movie to any kid who is afraid of animated cougars!!

At first this movie doesn't seem like your favorite movie just the worst movie ever. you will probably start crying a lot. but after you watch it a couple of times you will love it!!!! Spirit sort of reminds me of Tarzan but in a horse way. like the time he chased away a cougar and Tarzan defeats a leopard.

I love this movie but i don't recommend it for kids under 6 because there some scary stuff in this film. but this is my favorite scene just in case you have a younger sibling around.

Spirit is a foal and is prancing around a icicle. then, he puts his tongue on it then his tongue gets stuck! he makes these noises then you hear a crack of a icicle and he comes proudly trotting out with the icicle in his mouth!

This movie is THE BEST HORSE MOVIE EVER!!!!!!!! My sister and i keep singing songs from the film. Mostly get off of my back!
It has a lot more horse talk and fun bones features. Spirit: Stallion of the Cimmeron is a awesome movie if you want a true horse movie and learning the true hero inside you.

I really love spirit because he is the best horse in the movie. Anyway I really love rain she is so beautiful. I was really shocked that rain was faster than spirit when she heard the cowboys come. I was so sad that rain was shot. I was so surprised that spirit jumped the cliff i was so sure he wouldn't make but he did eventually. I eas so happy that rain and spirit were reunited again. but it made me cry when rain had to leave the indian and go with spirit. but i was so happy that spirit was back with his mother esperanza.

I like spirit stallion of the cimarron because i was so suprised that the foal was yellow and black. Anyway i was like so shocked that spirit had to be taken from hs herd from his mother and entered a place which was the cowboys stadium. the next day i couldn't believe that there was an indian. when spirit was on his way home the horse rain was so beautiful. when spirit was let out and had seen rain she heard that the cowboys were coming. rain had galloped all the way and before she got there i was shocked that she had been shot. when spirit met the indian again i was absoloutley amazed that spirit was jumping the cliff i didn't think he made it but he did eventually.

well this movie is magnificent..... i don't think you can find any thing like it.....well it it starts as this mother and she is pregnant she all of the sudden "boof" there was a little tiny light bay horse i wasn't really sure what the breed was but the next day he runs with the herd and slides down and gets snow on the front of his herd and then they went to get something to drink and [spirit] {that's his name} go up to a ice cube and gets his tongue stuck breaks it off and happily comes to his herd with a giant ice cube in his mouth few days later he grows to his full self and runs with his herd then all the sunden he [spirit] is the stallion leader of his herd that is all i am going to tell you the rest you are gonna have to find out yourself..... and it is funny the rest of the way

Spirit is born in the wild and it shows his life story as he grows up and when he's older cowboys take over the west and capture him he escapes from the home of the cowboys and meet his true love rain and her owner is a fostile takota indian and the cow boys come to the indians home to look for spirit becoz the leader wants to kill him for chucking him off.
spirit get caught again and can't escape to save little creek(the indian)and his love rain is dieing.

I Love Spirit, It was one of the first movies I ever saw at the cinema! Now I have had it for years and I have seen it a million trillion times. I love the ralationship between Little Creek (the Indian) and Spirit (the horse) and how it changes through the movie. Also Rein (a mare) her relationship with Spirit makes the movie what it is. Even though it's in cartoon, It's a great movie and I love it.

i love spirit

i love this movie it s the best movie that is all about horses i have ever seen.
its about a wild mustang called spirit.
he gets caught and taken to the army to work there but he just wont let any one ride him. he was about to be shot when and indian boy who had also been caught saves him. the indian takes spirit back to his village were he meets the boys american paint horse called rain. that is when it starts getting interesting . i will not tell u anymore because it will spoil the good bit in the movie . you should really watch it. it is fantastic !!!!!!!!!

I agree, I loved Spirit growing up and I still love it now. I just love listening to the CD and I watch the movie over and over again. I highly recommend it if you are looking for a heartwarming adventure movie for the whole family.

It's about a wild stallion named Spirit. He has to go through so much when he is taken by these people who will train him and such.

He lets them take him instead of his herd. But it's a great story based on a real story. You will have to watch it for all the details.

He is a wild spirit that can never be broken!!

I like Spirit and Bonita the grey horse and his mom Esprazela, but not Rain. She is mean. I can't believe he likes her. You know why - she yelled at Spirit and tripped him. She is so annoyinq!!!!! But I do love the movie. I'm a Bonita and Spirit fan because she is nice.

Spirit has to be my all time fave horse movie ever. Why you ask? Well, first of all. it's about horses. Secondly because of the story's great adventure and tale, and third because of how the mustang in the story will stop at nothing to be free. But once he realizes his true place goes back to his best friend - a native man who saved his life!!

I love Spirit!

I took Sydney to this movie when it came out and I think I loved it as much as she did. The animation was beautiful, the story was so well told, and the characters were well done as well. I love this movie so much we bought it and I just watched it again last week with Syd.
