Sorry it's short Mom's rushing me!
***************

As I walked out into the arena, Job, Julie and the twins gathered to watch Ace's longing session.
I strode to the center of the arena picked up the long longing stick and let out the lunging line.

As I let out more and more line Ace traveled farther and farther away from me and soon was walking in a large circle around me. Today, with so many people watching I had chosen to keep him on the line the entire time. As I focused my attention on him I forgot about the twins, Job's bragging my fight with Julie...... Everything. Except for Ace.

A firm "Walk!" told Ace to get a move on. "Come on boy! We're not going to go for a ride to-day!" I told him.

His ears shot up at the mention of a ride but never the less he started walking, picking up the slack, drooping line .After a few halts, playful bucks,(he was only 7 for goodness sakes! Why can't a youngster at a school horse barn not have some fun?)and a few sips of cocoa we were ready for the lesson.

"Trot!" I called to Ace and he moved into a smooth trot. I always had fancied that he had some Arabian in him, because to see him trot was like seeing a professional dancer preform, his hooves made a beautiful rhythm on the dirt ground.

"Canter!" I called out to him, and his gorgeous long legs moved a bit faster, faster, until they were going at a fast, four beat demo. As he cantered around the ring I laughed out loud feeling an almost insane feeling for a moment. In that moment everything felt good.
