Man this is the best love/horse story i have read so far. I love all the detail in this story. I am sorry to hear that you won't be writing a 5th part. (like all the others). hope the new series come out as good as this one did.

Whoo-hoo, girl, well done! You've written a story! That's not a feat that many have accomplished. It might sound simple, writing a story, but it really isn't. And this is a good story as well with a strong plot. So, congrats.
Now, I'd suggest that you put the story away for a week, minimum - perhaps even three weeks. Then come back to it later and revise. All first drafts have flaws. You put the story away for a while to distance yourself from it, so that you'll be able to see what those flaws are. However I can't spot any major faults in this story - it's really quite professional.
My suggestions - I'd like some back story on Todd. Where does he come from? Why does Amelia disapprove of him a bit?
And while you're waiting, start the next one. Reading this story, I'd guess that drama is your strong point. So. Write drama, but remember to work on the other elements of a story as well, such as setting.
I like this story. It's compact, saying a lot without extra baggage. It has strong characters. It has a good plot. Write on girl!

it kind of sounds like you are boy-crazy ,and horse-crazy!! don't worry, i have a boyfriend. i am horse crazy and boy crazy too. my boyfriend likes to tease me that i like horses better than him, but he knows it isn't true. i love them both just the same. i think you should write more stories, you are a naturally born author.
