"Megan! I have a surprise for you!" Said my Aunt Donna. We were at my 3 yr old cousin Rylee's B-day(She was turning 3) at her house in Alabama. I held Rylee's hand as I followed my aunt to the fence where her horses were(Still are). "What is it?" I asked. "I'm gonna let you have one of my horses!" My mouth dropped open as if I were the happiest in my entire life. "Really- wait, I don't own stables at my house in Tennessee. How am I gonna keep it?" I asked. "Every time you come here, I'm gonna let you ride it, groom it, feed it, etc. That's how!" Said my aunt. "Really?! Can I ride it now?" "Of course!" Replied my aunt. "Yay! Megan's gonna ride a horse!" Said Rylee. I laughed. "Let me go get the tack." "Okay" I replied back. My aunt came back with the tack. "You wanna put the tack on, Megan?" "Why not?" My aunt helped me put on the tack(I didn't know how to put it on exactly). "Can you get on your self?" Asked my aunt. "I can if there are steps I can use." "I have some right here." Said my aunt. She set the steps beside the horse and I climbed on. "Do you know how to canter or gallop?" My aunt asked. "No. But I do know how to trot and walk! Those are the only things I've learned at horse riding lessons so far." I replied. "Okay" Can I see you trot?"She asked. "Of course!" I replied back. I grabbed some mane while still holding the reins, stood up, and said,"Trot!" And the horse started to trot, it was a bumpy ride! "Yay"! Megan going fast!" Said Rylee. I laughed again. "Can I atleast take care of the horse before we leave?!" I asked my parents. "Fine," they replied. "Hurry up though."
"Okay!" I went to the barn(Or pasture)and fed, groomed, and untacked the horse. I walked it to its stall. Then I went to catch up with my parents to go home.
The next day I went to my horse riding lessons. We finally learned how to trot while turning in a circle, and to canter and gallop. When lessons were over I went home and took a shower.
A few months later we went back to my aunt's house for my uncle's B-day. "Wanna ride the horse again, Megan?" My aunt asked. "Well, yah!" We went to tack up the horse. "Want me to get the stool? It's right next to me," my aunt said.
"Sure" I replied.
She put the stool next to the horse and I climbed on. "I learned how to trot in a circle, and canter and gallop a couple months ago." I said. "That's good! Can I see you canter then gallop?" she asked.
"Sure!" I relaaaxed(aah) I said"Canter!"(I think that's what you do to canter. I don't REALLY know how to canter or gallop in real life) and it wasn't bumpy, uncomfortable, it was just, comfortable.
"Wow! This is comfortable!" I said. "It really is, isn't it?"
"Yeah!"
"Can I see you gallop now?" My aunt asked.
"Sure!" I stood up, said "Ya!" and the horse galloped. I felt like I was gonna fall off. "Uh-oh"
"What?" asked my aunt. And guess what? I fell off.
"That's what!" "Are you okay?!" "Yes! I'm fine!"
The horse realized I fell off and trotted back to me. The horse pushed me lightly as if it wanted me to get back on.
"Okay, okay, I'll get back on! Sheesh. Silly horse." "Might not wan to gallop for a while" My aunt said. "Yeah, maybe."
