Come here Fire! I called to my horse as I walked down the path to his paddock. Fire! Come here! I called again as I began to run toward his paddock. Fire! Come now please! Fire galloped to the gate as I approached the paddock. Fire was a 4 year old bay Quarter horse stallion. He loved Barrel Racing and Reining. Hello boy. How are you doing this fine morning? Are you hungry?? Fire lifted up his head and neighed just like he wanted some food. Here you go, Fire. Here's your food. I said as I gave him his favorite food, oats, oats, and more oats.
My mom and dad ran toward me and shouted, Lucy! Lucy! We are going to trade one of our horses for a black Arabian stallion! Would you like that?? I gulped. Will my mom and dad sell Fire, my beloved horse? No way! They can't sell my horse! I wasn't really sure if I wanted a solid black Arabian stallion.
I said, Well, that would be nice, but I don't want to give up Fire! Are you going to trade him to the black Arabian stallion's owner?? Mom and dad looked at each other in surprise. Why would we sell Fire? We would never sell him. Why would you think that, Lucy?? I didn?'t know what to say. I would like the Arabian horse. Please! But, if you're not going to trade Fire, what horse are you trading to the man who owns the Arabian horse?? Mom replied, Remember the mustang mare, Gail? We are going to trade her. Ok? She's too wild. Remember the day when she riled Fire? He was crazy and he almost bit Gail. I did remember the day that happened, but why think of that when I was soon going to train a black Arabian stallion to become a famous steeplechaser? Oh, I couldn't wait to see the new horse! I also wanted Gail to leave their ranch, Chestnut Farm.
Just then, I saw a sparkle in the air. Then, I touched the air. Then a door appeared out of nowhere! I opened the door, and there was light. Very bright light. So bright that I had to squint my eyes. So bright that I turned tan! Then, I saw this beautiful white mare who was struggling to get out of her stall. I started walking toward the very, very, bright place, and the mare. Mom and dad had seen me walking toward something. Dad asked me, What are you doing Lucy? What are you walking to??
A few moments later, dad yelled, LUCY! Are you even listening to me?!? Then he saw me walk through that door, and he screamed, LUCY! WHERE ARE YOU!? LUCY! WHERE DID YOU GO??!?!?!?!?!?

"LUCY!" Dad yelled. But it was too late. I was gone.
When I got into that very very bright place, I saw the mare again. this time she was rearing and bucking like crazy! She neighed for help. I ran over to her stall and unlocked her stall door. "Easy, girl. Easy." I tried to calm her down, but she was so angry she wouldn't listen. I said as softly as I could, "Easy, girl, easy." Just then, she calmed down.
In the next few hours, we both went on adventures all around that world. Suddenly, we both saw a girl the same height and age as me, bright blue eyes, and she looked very happy.
But when she saw me and the mare, she yelled to me "HEY! GET AWAY FROM HER! THAT"S MY MARE! I FOUND HER IN A CAVE AND SAVED HER!"
"Well, I saw her in a stall neighing" I said back. "I put her there because I needed to go get some carrots and apples for her!" Get away NOW!" I started crying.
When she grabbed her from me, I grabbed her back. "You will never be able get this horse, she is mine and I found her, so I'll keep her!" I screamed. I hopped onto her back and galloped away on her.
