Minnie was in the moment, living what was once a dream. When they finished their many laps round the school, to her surprise Katie, came up to her and hugged her and Cheeky. "I'm sorry I've been so hard on you two, you see Cheeky was my pony when I was little, like 5,6,7,8 but when I was nine, I was 5'0! Whenever I got on him he bucked me off, now I understand why but I always thought he hated me..." Now Minnie understood and felt like hugging Katie, she seemed like a little girl again (a tall little girl!).
As Katie was in a good mood she said "who's up for a jump? Can't be to tall as darling Cheeky Boy needs a chance!" Much to Samantha's dismay. "Come on my Cheeky, lets do it for Katie!" She whispered, knowing that Katie was listening. Aim for the jump, jump the jump, canter smooth after jump.. Thought Minnie "Aim for the jump!" Shouted Katie, with a tear in her eye, glistening in the warm sun.

Cheeky Shetland adventure! Part 3. by: Lily
Cheeky willingly trotted round the sand school, springy and happy to please. No fuss. No bother. Minnie grinned bright and proud, whereas Katie's face was a clear sign of confusion. "Um well done, always thought you could do um it, yes mm, um anyway, Samantha and pickle you next!" Katie shouted.
Minnie usually watched Samantha and Pickle, as they were the best pair in the stable. Pickle was a huge majestic bay thoroughbred, amazing, but way to big for Minnie. Samantha was Minnie's age (12) but very tall and pretty, blue eyes, blonde hair, latest gear, 5 horse horse box, a dream girl anyone would think. But for Minnie she was rude and selfish. She got looked down on by her as only being 4ft 3 and being only level 1 at riding.
But today Minnie was to busy patting, stroking and praising cheeky boy to pay attention to anyone else, it was like nothing else mattered in the world but them - " Minnie MINNIE! Go on canter! I've asked you six times! Your holding me up! Then again,I bet you cant on that fleabag!" Snarled Samantha. Minnie was going to show her. Her and everyone. She will do it for Cheeky. "Canter Cheeky I know you will lets show them all!" She whispered to Cheeky...
Cheeky waited for a moment, a nervous knot was getting tighter in Minnie's tummy, But then. Cheeky shot of like a rocket in a fast, keen eager canter, balanced and perfect. Minnie eyes lit up and she new this moment will be one to remember. She smiled as shocked faces whirled round the sand school.

Cheeky Shetland Adventure! Part 2. by: Lily
"For once Minnie, I think you can mount a horse correctly! Put your foot- oh you've already done it! I'm impressed!" Exclaimed Katie (her instructor) "I will be more impressed if you can tackle old Cheeky! Too small he is!" Minnie was puzzled. Why did every one look down on this silver wonder of a pony, because he was small? Thought Minnie, well people look down on me too because I'm small, they think I will be rubbish at sports... not horse riding!
"On lap round the school then come in and halt at x, rising trot, Minnie and Cheeky go first but everyone else- be free to over take!" Laughed Katie, not like herself. The blazing sun shone rays over the stables, making Cheeky Boy look majestic and glossy. "Trot my boy trot!"
