This is a hard question. I think you should tell your friend that it was only once that she fell off a horse. She probably won't understand, but just ease her into riding again. If she really loves horses, she will get back into it. It is hard when you fall off a horse, she is probably scared of falling off again. Sit her down, have at talk with her and make sure she listens. Remind her all the great times that she has had riding horses, all you have been through together and that she shouldn't give it all up for a fall. Don't push her into riding straight away. Teach her from the basics on a different horse. Besides, something probably spooked the horse she was riding, so it took off. Don't give up yet, I am sure that she won't just ditch you because of a fall. Just stick beside her and tell her that you will be there for her when she needs her. Hope this helps.

Okay so me and my best friend were riding through some trails in battle ground lake. We were riding a downhill trail when my friend's horse stopped. My friend gave her horse a small kick. Suddenly the horse bolted. I took off after my friend and her horse. I got side to side with the horse trying to reach for the reins. I realized I would never be able to reach the reins without falling off my horse. "Whoa!" I yelled to the horse. The horse stopped so fast my friend flew over his head. I jumped off my horse to go help her. She got back up but she asked if she could ride my horse instead of her own. I said sure. When we got home she seemed fine.
The next day I asked if she wanted to go riding. She said that she would never ride again. Her horse is already on craigslist. I still want to be her friend. We've been friends ever since preschool. Her mom was once offered a job in New York. She said no because her daughter and me were best friends. We became friends because we both loved to ride.
Now what do I do?

It is hard when you can't get a horse, but there are solutions. If you have a small backyard you can aggist a horse. That means that your horse lives on a farm or at a riding school. If your parents are the problem, convince them you are responsible by saving up a load of money. Also, you could lease a horse for a little while which is just as fun as owning one. Hope this helps!
