Black Gold

An orphaned Indian is taken in by a family whose mare dies giving birth to a black colt. They named him Black Gold because oil was found on their land. Indian boy ends up riding and winning the Kentucky Derby. The father ends movie by walking into the forest to die. I’m 77 now. I think I saw this when I was an out 9 or 10.
