Riding question please help!

by Christine
(Maryland, United States)

This is my FAVORITE PONY in the whole entire world!!!

This is my FAVORITE PONY in the whole entire world!!!

People call him a mutt because they don't know what breed he is, but I LOVE him. His name is Confetti.

This is actually a question. (It was in the riding lessons page so I thought it would work.)

I have a question. (Sort of.)
OK, before I went to WHC I went to another riding stable. (Not mentioning name.) And I used to ride for an equitation team. If you didn't keep your back straight the instructor would tap you on the back with a crop.
Well....
Now my back is TOO straight. It's not like an overarch, its I just can't relax my lower back. Now I am falling out of the saddle at the trot and the canter. (Cantering is the WORST!!!) I am bouncing WWWWWAAAAAYYYYYY too much. And I think I am making it uncomfortable for the horse. I am a horse lover, and in my book the horse's comfort is MY first priority.

HELP!!!!!
Thanks,

move with the saddle
by: move with the saddle

Move with the saddle. Rock with it and relax. Think canter or trot and it will most likely happen. And don't worry... I am sure your horse is quite fine and understands your problem. Just do not think about falling.

(Sorry if I am not using american terms. I am from England) If you don't understand anything sorry...
