I Need Help With My Riding Homework

Hi! My riding instructor gave me homework to find the difference between a restrictive seat and a working seat.

I know this sounds hard to believe; but I couldn't find it on Google or any other search engines. Or books and I don't know many horsey people that could help me out.

Please help me!

Okay, A restrictive seat is when your all tense and not letting your horse move forward naturally. and a working seat is what it sounds like, when your working with your horse and when your horse is moving forward in a working gate or a steady marching type gate! Make sense?

Ok a restricted seat is when you are braced up and not allowing the horse to move freely underneath you hence restricted. And a free moving seat is when you are supple with the horse and the horse can move freely underneath you. This seat allows the horse to open up it's movement and use a bigger stride.
