(Houston, Texas, USA)
I grew up as a city-country girl, who was a western Texan, but lived in Houston, one of the biggest cities in the US. I went pony-riding whenever I could.
I loved the way horses were high-maintenance and beautiful. I wanted one as soon as I saw one. I realized that pony riding wasn't very fun as I got older. It was too short. One summer, we took a trip to Tennessee. I got to ride horses through the woods on a trail.
I realized I loved the way horses move. I realized I really DO want one, not just in the way that 6-year-old's do, but really, really want one! I never have had one, and probably never will until I grow up, move away, and buy one myself, no doubt I'll live in the country.
I'm a horsecrazy, horsedreaming gal and have a very horsey life to look forward too.
