Show your pony who's boss. I understand that you may be skeptical, but it worked with the horse that I ride. She's a 9 year old quarter horse who tries to nip me whenever I walk into her stall. Make your hands into pretend "teeth" and "bite" her with ten. It reminds me of how a dominant horse keeps a younger horse in place in the wild. Good luck!!

She gives an excited buck when you gallop but not while walking, trotting and cantering.

same thing with a horse I have ridden, has she ever bucked if you competed, like racing against another horse? If so, your horse might have a rib out of place.
