Whisper's good-bye

Ann McKnight and her mare Whisper, are the undefeated pair of the Springrock annual Western show off. This is the last year Ann and Whisper will compete in the 10-14 age group, but during the barrel racing, Whisper stumbles and falls, throwing Ann. Ann is not hurt badly, but Whisper has a broken foreleg. Ann and her best friend, Rose Gardner convince Ann's dad to let Whisper live one more week, will Rose and Ann be able to somehow save Whisper or will Ann and Whisper say Good-bye?
