I can't ride him because he's a loaned horse from someone to the friend i was talking about, and the guy who owned him was a bit old and didn't ride him. But I do know how to ride and am hopefully going riding by the end of this year.

Apr 30, 2012 Rating Hi there by: Unicorn I'm not great with colors but I find them fascinating, so I'll give it a shot :-) I'm not an expert though - a professional would be better able to answer your question. He could be bay, bay roan or dun. If his body is solid brown, with black points (mane, tail, legs, nostrils) he would be bay. If he was bay, but with lots of little white hairs, he would be bay roan. On the other hand if his coat is as light as I think it is - a sort of golden tan - without any white hairs, and possibly a black or dark brown stripe down his back (a dorsal stripe), he would be dun. Hard to see from the picture which one it is, but he's gorgeous! Unicorn
