Vica and Scooter

I was teaching at a horse camp at a local college and there was this adorable little girl named Vica there. She was only about 3ft tall but of course, she got assigned to one of the taller horses named Scooter. Now Scooter is probably the laziest most bomb proof horse in the barn and poor Vica was only a little taller than one of his legs! So we help her get tacked up and take her out there to ride and she looks like a little bug up on Scooter's back. Her legs didn't even go past the saddle flaps! The amazing thing was that by the end of the two weeks she was trotting on her own. She didn't even need help to get Scooter going, which is something that much bigger kids have tried and failed to do. Just goes to show what you can do when you're persistent!
