This ride was a true adventure! First, they have a lot of horses, and they let you ride without a guide if you like. I asked for my horse to be saddled English but usually it is Western.

You go out in these woods and ride. It is kind of overgrown and the trail is not marked. We were ducking trees and at one point we all got separated and couldn't even see each other. But the horses knew what they were doing.

I had a hard time with my horse at first because I was riding English and I think I was confusing her. She backed me into some bushes and I kinda freaked but got back on. My mom got off to help me and when she tried to get back on her horse she almost flipped over its head. It was sooooo funny.

My mom's horse kept cantering and since she doesn't ride it kind of freaked her out. But she made it OK and didn't fall off.

My dad got a very spunky Paso Fino. OMG if you have not seen one of these horses trot it is totally wild! They look like they are throwing their legs out to the sides. It's not like anything I've ever seen. My dad said it was the smoothest ride though. His horse was also fast -- he had to keep circling back to us.

So you will NOT be bored on this trail ride!! If you want to hire a guide you can do that too.

It's not expensive and lots of fun. Give it a try.
