Pepper - Part 1

As I slid off Pepper I was wondering when the owner of the barn I was working at in exchange for lessons was going to make me give up Pepper which I had no intention of doing. I was just finishing giving Pepper his food when Marly and her horse Pasta came around the corner.

Marly is super snobby 8th grader who always bosses me around while I'm at the barn. Today she was extra mean "Lilly tomorrow I'm leaving for a show so don't feed Pasta his grain" Marly said "Sure but do you want me to-" I was about to say when Marly rudely interrupted.

"It's a western show and only professionally trained riders can so I guess you can't enter it sorry" I couldn't believe she said that to me! Just then my mom pulled up in the driveway to pick me up. When I got home I heard the phone ring.

Me: Hello?

Mr.Wilson(owner of the barn): Hi Lilly it's Mr. Wilson do you have a few minutes to talk?

Me: Sure.

Mr Wilson: Thank you Lilly I'm very sorry but I'm going to have to ask you to either give up Pepper or buy him for my suggested price but you don't have decide now you can call me whenever you want.

Me: Um I'll call you later see you. Mr Wilson: Thanks bye. I hung up and collapsed on my bed crying!

Pepper - Part 2

After yesterday I was surely wasn't going to the barn again. But my mom said I had to go. When I got out to the barn I avoided Mr. Wilson as much as possible. And believe me I had a lot of close calls. Once I was in the tack room cleaning Pepper's saddle and he walked in looking for me and I jumped behind a dirty, dusty blanket before he saw me.

When I had finished my work I went on a trail ride by myself. I went into the forest to figure out my problems. I started talking to Pepper when Marly and Pasta started riding my way. I asked Pepper to trot but they kept coming so I asked him to canter. When I was alone with Pepper I walked him under a tree, and slid off Pepper and started to cry.

Suddenly I heard someone say "Are you OK?". The voice surprised me. I turned around and saw standing behind me with his horse Black Gold was my secret crush Trey. I quickly wiped my eyes and pretended like I wasn't crying."Hey do you want ride down to the barn with me?" he asked. I nodded. He helped me get on Pepper and we rode down to the barn.

Halfway there we ran into Marly and she tried to flirt with Trey but he was very bored in her being there. When we got to the barn we untacked the horses and let outside on their pasture. We laughed as they bucked and kicked around. When we had to go clean the tack we started talking about our horses and the barn. Then he asked me if something was wrong when I was on the verge of tears. So I poured my heart out to him about everything.

When I finished my story he nodded and said we should do something about it. Then by the time it was time for my mom to pick me up me and Trey had made a brilliant plan for me to keep Pepper!

Pepper - Part 3

Im so so so so sorry i'm late but here u go

The first part of me and Trey's plan to keep Pepper was to go to the store. I know, I know doesn't sound like a super secret plan but any way we bought 3 sacks of carrots. Then we went to the barn and tracked down Pasta. He was in is stall happily chewing his hay he nickered when he saw the carrots.

After that Trey kept watch while I laid out the carrots in a path to the mare pasture. Finally we let Pasta out of his stall and climbed one of the trees nearby and watched. The plan worked perfectly! Pasta followed the carrot path until he got to the mare pasture.

Rosalie, head mare, saw Pasta coming and whinnied alarm to the other mares. When they saw Pasta they ran toward the gate. Then CRASH!!!!! They had broken the gate and ran through it!!! The horses ran through the yard. Me and Trey ran toward Mr. Wilson's house screaming "the horses got out of their pasture!!!" He rushed out of his house. He saw us and told us to go get halters.

After all the horses were all in the right spot Mr. Wilson thanked us and said, "Do you know how Pasta got out of his stall?" I was about to answer when Marly rushed out into the yard, pointed at me and screamed, "It was her!!!"

Pepper - Part 4

I froze. I didn't know what else to do. Marly stormed toward me anger flashing off of her like lightning. Trey pushed himself between us.

"Marly what are you talking about?"

"I'm talking about her letting Pasta out!" She snapped hotly. Then I decided to unfreeze right then and came to my defense.

"Why would I do that?" Mr. Wilson finally pushed himself into the conversation.

"Then whose story is true?" He asked.

"Well I saw Pasta's stall latch open on my way to the tack room." Trey offered. Mr. Wilson glared at Marly.

Marly blushed and said, "well maybe I left it open. I'm sorry." But that didn't stop Mr. Wilson from exploding.

"YOU'RE SORRY!? LOTS OF HORSES AND PEOPLE COULD HAVE GOTTEN HURT! Your punishment is to muck out the stalls for the rest of month..."

"But..."

"AND you will apologize to Trey and Lilly."

"I'm sorry." She mumbled.

After everything was in order, me and Trey were in the tack room.

"So what's the next part of our plan?"

"I don't know."

"Well how about you come to my house and we'll dicuss it?"

"Sure, okay." I fought myself to stay calm as he wrote his address on a piece of paper.

"Here you go, see you at my house tomorrow."

"See ya." I choked out. After he walked out I wondered if this was considered a date.

Pepper - Part 5

Today's the big day. I'm going to Trey's house!!! When I got there I was surprised to see Trey waiting for me on his porch.
" Hey, Trey" I said. "Bye Mom" I called as she pulled out of the driveway.

After we came inside Trey said "So I thought we should have a hour off before we start". "Sounds cool to me" I said.

So we went to the barn to visit Pepper and Black Gold ( Trey's horse). I was going into the tack room for the grooming supplies when Marly appeared behind me. "I know that it was you who let Pasta out of his stall." She said glaring at me. " I have no idea what you're talking about" I choked out and ran out of the tack room.

After we were done with the horses Trey and I went back to his house, got snacks, and went up to his room.

"Now that we got Marly occupied what is the next plan?" Trey said

"That's what I'm here to figure out" I grinned.
