This book is about a girl's life with her over protective grandmother, who hates her mother, and says she took her son away from her. She does not allow her mother's name said in her house, and HATES horses, which Maya has to hide her love for. Maya lives in a pristine, white house, with a housemaid, who Maya likes to point fingers at and gets rid of several.

Until everything changes.

Maya's grandmother dies the day a new housemaid arrives. Maya is sent to her grandfather's ranch, where she has an adventure of a LIFETIME! No joke!

Paint the Wind is the best horse book ever! It is very dramatic and sad but it turns out great. The author is able to explian how Maya feels about her change of life stlye and she takes you a frightning adventure. My fav horsebook.

Paint the Wind is a loving heart warming story. Some parts are sad. But the end just makes you cry. I love this story and i have read 18 times and that is not a lie because i have had it for 4 years. I love this story so much.

This book is so awesome! I had never heard of it before the summer book contest last year (I won this book through that contest!), and I LOVE IT! It rests in a rather prominent position on the bookshelf in my room. I really enjoyed this book (plus the cover is AWESOME...)!

P. S. Hey Summer, I wasn't sure if you would be checking this page again. I decided to make a note anyway! I think you should read the book for yourself; it may be a little young for you (I, for one, have no clue about your actual age), but I thought it was a pretty average reading level. Great storyline (and a really cool end)!

I love this book! It is probably my fave horse book ever. The story is great and very intense. I didn't like every part of of it (I won't tell you why) but it kept me so interested. I couldn't stop reading all night!! I laughed and I cried. It's a beautiful story and so amazing.

I highly recommend this book to any horse lover.

I liked the horses but what happened to Klee was really stupid, and the whole ending was really stupid too. Sorry but it really wasn't that great.
