My First Rodeo!!!

Me And Jewel Practising Barrels (before the rodeo) Hi my name is Nicole and I am 12 years old I ride western, I have and 11 year old Quarter Horse x Appoloosa about 16 hh, a red roan mare named Jewel! She is the best horse is the world (to me)! It was my first year in my local 4-H rodeo club, I was very nervous for the rodeos because a girl in my class would make fun of me and tell me "I can't ride a horse,and can't barrel race," and the mean girl Reegan would always say how good she was. I could barrel race but not very fast and the peer preasure got to me and I told her I could barrel race really fast and that my best time was 18 seconds, but that wasn't true, so when it came rodeo time I was at the rodeo about to barrel race at a trot and humiliate myself in front of my friends, Reegan and most importanly Jost (my crush. When I lightly nudged Jewel she bolted at a full gallop and I almost fell off but I eased her around the first barrel then I nudged her around second and then we were off to third and we flew home! When I got back to the gate I heard my time 18.33 seconds! I was soo happy, but Reegan was not at all. When her time came to go she was so determined to win she kicked her tiny black pony, Gypsy so hard, Gypsy whinnied and Reegan got reared off before the first barrel and was disqualified. I felt bad for poor little Gyspy but Reegan didn't feel bad, Reegan slapped her lttle pony on the head and screamed at her in the middle of the arena! And then after all that Reegan tied Gypsy to her trailer with her reins and the reins broke and let Gyspy loose so she was running around the rodeo! Let me tell you it was not a good day for Reegan! But it was for me I won 2nd and just seconds away from 1st!!!
