Gift Horse: A Lakota Story

This book tells the story about Flying Cloud, a boy from the Lakota tribe who receives Storm, a horse, as a gift from his father. As Flying Cloud matures, he must prove himself a worthy warrior. With Storm, he goes on a 4-day buffalo hunt and their bond ultimately helps Flying Cloud become a full-fledged warrior of the tribe.
