Free Hearts: Book 2 - Chapter 3
"No!" I screamed as I lurched forward and out of the saddle. I fell to the ground beneath me. I heard a crack as I fell. I had fallen on my now-healed broken arm. I heard everyone anxiously saying things. But the voice I'll never forget, was Amber's sobbing voice: "Melody, MELODY! Get the an Ambulance, QUICK!"
I knew I wasn't dead. But I didn't feel like I was in the land of the living. It wasn't until I heard the nurse say: "She's in a coma.", did I understand.
"No! NO!" I heard Amber sob through screaming. "Is there anything we can do?"
"Yes, you can talk to her, she can hear you, and just make her feel that she can come out of her blanket, and come back into the world." the nurse replied.
I was in a coma, and my mum, dad, Amber and Tom, had to get me out of it. And I was sure they weren't going to give up without a fight.
