Back to my subject. My personal favorite horse breeds are Arabian, Thoroughbred, and Mustang (I plan to buy a royal blue Mustang convertible when I get older!). Here's my idea for a new horse breed: an exactly half Thoroughbred, half Arabian horse should be bred to a pure Mustang to produce a fast AND sturdy horse. You see, ever since Eight Belles had to be euthanized, the racing community has been arguing about a LOT of horse racing rules and regulations. One conversation issue is the fact that only speed, not sturdiness, has been regarded as the most important thing in a race horse. Thoroughbreds' thin legs are extremely fragile, and several unfortunate times has thousands of pounds of horse been placed on one fragile leg and broken it. (I apologize for my vehemency on this particular subject.) I enjoy horse racing immensely, and love to watch a looked-down upon colt or filly win a big race. But I DO NOT like it when a colt or filly is seriously injured and put out of racing or euthanized.

That's a great idea to breed an Arabian to a Thoroughbred and Mustang! That would be the fastest horse in the world! It might be kind of hard to train though. Those horses are very excitable and temperamental. I also agree with you about horse racing. I can tell you really care about all horses. You should get your own someday!

I'm gonna get a Mustang convertible someday too! I want it to look just like Mary-Kate and Ashley's car in "Getting There." (It's my favorite movie in the whole world!) Anyway have you ever read the Thoroughbred series? If you like thoroughbreds and horse racing I suggest you read the Thoroughbred series!
