Megan's question
by: Sydney's Mom

Megan,

To make a new page, make sure you go to the front page of the topic (like Riding Lessons) and post a new thread there. Otherwise it goes under comments.

Does that help?

Dear Sydney's Mom, When I put stories about my other lessons, why do they turn out to be comments for my first lesson?

We found a few that I liked, but didn't fit. And if you think we didn't buy one cause none of the fit, think again! We found this cream white one, that fit, but it didn't have it's own box to go in so we found this blue one and it had its own box and fit, so we got that one.

Then we also bought a sign that said,"Horses Xing" With a little black horse on it. Then we went to go pick up my sister and went to see my mom at her work. I showed her my helmet and went home.

My dad hung up the sign in my new room (they painted my room like a horse pasture) and then he hung up my helmet on a iron horse thingy-doodle that's above my closet (it has a walking or trotting iron horse on it with something like @ on the edge of it, so that's where it's hung) Then I got on this website and started doing what I am right now! The End.

Creekside Stables again

Today is like, my 7th time at riding lessons... I'm not really sure, but I think it's the 7th time. Well, today I rode Angel (AGAIN! 3rd time riding her!) and I was the only person there!(Exept my riding teacher) And Angel was very difficult today! Lol.

We started out in the arena. I don't know how to trot in a circle, or canter or gallop, and not even jump, but before I trotted I walked over some poles in my half seat (that's when you stand up, kinda) and then I trotted over the poles, but before trotting over them I practiced trotting.

Then I went in the field where it was cooler unlike the arena. I went around the field, but when I got to the corner where the gate was supposed to be closed, Angel saw Easy (One of the horses there, and Angel and Easy are like, best friends) in a paddock, and Angel started to go out the gate and to Easy! Lol!

I said to Angel,"Angel, No!" And I had to make her stop and Ms.Kris (my riding teacher) had to run over to me and Angel and turn her around in a circle! I said to Ms.Kris, "Angel's being difficult today!" And she said,"Yes she is!" so I finished going around the field, and I dismounted and let Angel get a drink of water,(Man, she was thirsty!) and then we untacked her and groomed her.

First I used a curry comb and then I got a wet brush and back brushed Angel. That cooled her off more. Then I helped Ms.Kris put Angel in her stall then took her halter and lead rope off.

Then my dad came to pick me up and we went in the barn.(The barn is where the hay is, not the horses. I know. It's weird that way.) I saw some of the kittens that are always in the barn, and I saw the most beautiful, adorable cute kittens ever!

It was orange and white, and it was behind the bench when I tried to pet it, but it was a little shy. Finally it got to where I could pet it, and I picked it up like a baby! Lol. It was so cute!

I set it down then picked it up, set it down then picked it up. It was so cute! Then I finally went home and then took my sister to her guitar lessons. While she was at lessons, my dad took me to Tractor supply Co. to get me my own helmet so I won't have to borrow the stable's helmet.

Why your name has been removed
by: Anonymous

Hi, this is Sydney's mom.

I want to explain why I removed your name from your submission. I am so glad you told us about your stables! But I really want girls who come to this site to be safe. When someone has your name and the name of the stables where you ride then it's not really safe. And some girls who come to this site are under 13 and there's a privacy law that we have to follow as well.

If someone uses their real name on a page like their favorite horse names or best online horse games, then it doesn't really matter because I only publish first name and they don't have any other personal info. But when they know the name of your stables, it's another thing.

Does that make sense???

So PLEASE do keep contributing to our site! We are so glad you did. But I am going to take your name off the stables submission for now.

Creek Side Stables Riding Adventures
by: A happy rider again

Saturday, June 21, 08
I think today was my 4th day at riding lessons... I can't remember! lol! Anyway, remember when I told you about my 1st riding lessons a couple months or weeks ago?

If you don't, then I did. You can find it yourself! Anyway,(I gotta stop saying anyway. Lol! But I can't think of another word to start the sentence!)

I'll tell you about today at riding lessons. I rode Angel. (This was my 2nd time riding Angel.) She was very good. We trotted in the arena, and then we headed to the pasture. Except she was scared of the ponies when we rode past them, and when we rode past the ponies she went a little too fast since she was scared.

She was walking fast, not galloping or cantering, or trotting. I told Ms. Kris (riding teacher) that she was going faster, and she said, 'Uh-oh!' and when we got in the pasture which was past the ponies, she got slower, and then at the correct speed.

We went on the trail which was in the woods. (You had to go in the pasture to get on the trail in the woods.) And there was a huge mud puddle that Angel didn't like, so when we went through it, she went too fast again.

Then when we got out of the mud, she did the same thing when we past the ponies. When we got back in the pasture (out of the woods), we dismounted and let the horses get a drink by the stables.

Then we got to walk our horses to the arena where the people in the next lesson could get on them, but the boy that was in the next lesson who was supposed to ride the horse that I rode, he was nervous so he just walked Angel instead of riding her, and then I went home. The End.
