Candy, a True Friend - Part 4
"Mum, what will I do without Candy?" I said as I sobbed, lying on the grass. Mum could clearly see how upset I was.
"Don't worry. I am going to ring the police. The man is a thief." Mum said. She ran inside and grabbed the phone and called the police and told them that we had seen someone take our pony.
The police arrived in a split second. There was a lady, Officer Sarah, and a man, Officer Tyson. We gave Tyson a quick description of what Candy and the horse looks liked. He jumped in the police car to search, while officer Sarah stayed to question mum and myself.
"So sweetie, what was your ponies names?" She asked.
"Candy." I replied, wiping my tears away.
"Can you tell me everything that happened, please?" She asked again.
"Well, I was sound asleep, when I heard whinnying so I looked out my window and I saw a man on a large black horse bucking and rearing into her stable. So I got mum and went out stairs. Then, finally the horse had knocked sown Candy's Stable so I yelled at the man. He threw a rope around Candy's neck and he galloped away, dragging Candy away by her neck." I sobbed.
"It's okay, we will find your pony. I just need to ask you one more thing. Has anyone spoke to you or been acting strange around you?" Officer Sarah stated.
"Ummm.....I don't think so." I replied."...Wait! Yesterday when I walked Candy, a man was staring at me. he asked me if I lived at the house with the oak tree out the front, so I said yes, and when I asked him why he wanted to know, he hesitated before he answered me! Then he looked at Candy and grinned. He was clipping the hedges of a house with a tall brick wall."
We all went to that house and knocked on the door. No one answered, so Officer Sarah went around the back and went inside but no one was inside. Then, Officer Sarah got a call from officer Tyson, he had found the man on the horse with Candy!
We all raced to where he had found them, in the the forest. When we arrived, Officer Tyson had already handcuffed him. I raced over to where can was sitting and hugged her,
"Candy! I love you so much and I don't know what I would've done without you!" Candy nickered. " And thank you for finding Candy. And you! I cannot believe what you did! You are the most despicable man I have ever met!" it turns out that the man was the one who asked me where I lived.
"Well don't worry know, Ayla, this man is going to jail." Officer Tyson shoved the man into the police car. " And his horse is going to a horse rescue center."
"I just wanted to breed it and make money!" The man yelled.
Candy had to go to the vet the next day because she had grazes around her legs and neck, but she still looked beautiful. She was my Candy and would never leave me again.
