Rachel Alexandra just won the Preakness – one of the top horse races in America! I think she’s the most beautiful filly in all of horse racing, and I love the fact that she is the first filly horse to win the Preakness in 85 years!

This American Thoroughbred filly knows she is amazing. Her jockey, Calvin Boren, said she was the greatest horse he has ever been on. He spoke the truth. They say the number 13 is an unlucky number, but Rachel Alexandra has proven that to be untrue. She won the Preakness Stakes from the 13th post position! And she’ll no doubt be breaking more records in the years to come.

Everyone knew she would win. Everyone placed their bets on her winning 2-1. Even though I am not a fan of betting on horses, I have to admit she got a lot of attention. The Blackberry Preakness Stakes television ratings were shattered by her! They were the highest rating in five years. Another high hoof for that amazing filly! Anyone who loves horses would love her charisma. She has the toughness of a lion, with the speed of a cheetah.

Rachel Alexandra is a three year old Bay filly. Her trainer is Steven M. Asmussen. She is the first filly to win the Preakness since 1924.

As a horse lover, I dream about her being my horse. I dream about feeding her everyday the moment I wake up and later in the evening. I go to her with two flakes of hay, she pulls her head out so I can pet her. She is the cutest thing you will ever see! Whenever I feed her, she sneezes on me! My mother says "When she does that, she is saying thank you." Every time I feed her and she sneezes on me, it's on purpose! She knows I love her to death.

I have never witnessed anything this mesmerizing in my life, the day she won the Preakness. Rachel Alexandra, here's to you, my beautiful lady. I love you and the whole world loves you. You will be in the hearts of horselovers forever.
